Hello all! I'm not normally a forum kinda guy, and to be honest I had never heard of this website before my fateful encounter with this thread. Reading through the many posts, I felt deep in my heart a stirring. I remember a time long ago, shrouded in the mists of years, a game I had once loved as a wee lad. I remember it was an adventure game, and if I do recall correctly, it was done by Sierra, but I may be wrong on that. I remember you played a person, but there were dinosaurs that talked. The more I think of it, you might have played a dinosaur. .-. Sorry. Not helping. Anyway, I remember it having a story about the kingdom you lived in, and I think there was an egg or something, and you had to go to all these places and stuff. The more I think about it the less I remember. The part that stands out was a room in a castle that was like a dungeon. And other than that I don't remember much of anything. If anyone happens to know of this game, your assistance would be much appreciated, as my heart hurts to not remember it.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure the game was on a disk with others, but I might have found it at the thrift store. It was a cd, not a floppy.

Hey everyone,
Just made an account here because of this thread.. I really miss one of the games i used to play. Thing is, i only played it once at my friends house a long time ago and he doesn't own it anymore neither does he remember it's name. Anyway, i remember it being some sort of "Ricochet" type of games, destroying blocks with a ball. It was in "3D" and everything was layed flat on the ground if im not mistaken. You played as a block that looked kind of like a french fry with eyes. I remember one of the final levels/stages was in space or something (i remember seeing a spaceship). That's all i recall... If anyone knows what game i'm thinking of please let me know. Thanks :)

p.s. It's not "Pong: The next level"

Hi,

Macintosh ~1995, I remember playing After Dark games and Marathon 1.

Top-down single player shooter like Alien Breed, but with a spaceship like in Subspace Continuum.

Alien Breed: http://puu.sh/4fRZ8

Subspace Continuum: http://puu.sh/4fRY8.jpg

Objective was to use switches to open/close doors to make your way to the portal to the next level. Moving to the edge of the screen produces a new static screen where you appear at the opposite (moved right, appear at left)

Few enemies/ammo/bombs (secondary)/guns (primary) scattered throughout the level.

Thanks!

Hello everyone,

I keep trying to find out a title of a retro game, which I've been playing a bit ages ago and don't remember much. Here are some facts, which might be helpful to you:

- the game was released in mid 90's, maybe 95-98
- it was a third person perspective (not 100% sure), a 3d environment
- it was set in medieval/fantasy world
- the main character was a young guy, maybe knight or something like that
- I remember running through narrow alleys between some wooden buildings and jumping around between rocks
- and the most important fact: I remember a scene, some kind of a game-over thing maybe, when you're caught by an orc (maybe goblin or troll) and ended up being tied up and hanged upside down by both feet. I think it was just after you're trying to sneak to his hideout, a cave or cottage maybe, and collect a treasure or something. Everytime you failed, it ended the same way, so I remembered exactly that moment being repeated over and over again.

I know it isn't too much, but these are things a young kid remembered looking his cousin's play (there is no opportunity to ask him about the game's title).

Anyone could help?

PS: Sorry if my English is not okay, greetings from Poland anyway

hey everyone! there's this DOS game I can't remember its name, so I hope you can
the game was an action-platform of sorts.
the intro of the game started in a desert and had the protagonist created from sand. as far as I remember, the protagonist had a helmet and an armor, but no pants. you could use an array of weapons, among those weapons are throwable axes and a blue ball with wings which could destroy walls and enemies instantly.
I believe the game was from the 90s, considering it had relatively advanced graphics.
I would really appreciate it if someone knew what this game is. I've been searching forever, mostly on google, but never came close to even a clue.

Hey everyone,
There was this Floppy Disc game that I remembered playing as a kid. All i remembered about this game was that the character you use was an old man and to replenish your health back you had to drink from a water fountain. it was a weird game but I am really looking forward to playing this game again. It was similar to a puzzle/adventure game, I've spent weeks trying to look up this game but I had no luck :( If anyone knows the title of the game I would really appreciate it. Thank You.

It's been driving me crazy everytime I see a C&C style game, I always think back to this game... but I don't know what game it is!!

The ONLY thing I remember is there was a tank unit that had armor plates on the side and the secondary action for the tank was to swing open the plates and it created a barrier that your weaker troops could hide behind.. Does anyone remember this??? What game was it??? I think your infantry troops could garrison inside building as well, but not 100% sure on that.

There is this game I have been trying to find for YEARS, but I can't seem to be able to find it no matter what I search for.

INFO:

The point of the game was to get from one location of the map to another, whilst avoiding traps and going up and down ladders pretty much all the time. The map never moved, and could be played in 2-played where you occupied the two different sides of your keyboard using the W A S D and arrow keys to move your old Wizard-character with beard and a pointy hat.
This game was brutal, displaying a lot of blood upon dying to one of the traps (like a large rock or spikes).

When playing 2-player, you had to help each other reach point B by pulling levers and what not, so that your friend could cross. It was filled with puzzles.

Console: PC
This game is very old, and in 2D. What on EARTH is it called?

(It looked a little something like http://images.macworld.com/images/legacy/images/content/midnightmansion.jpg )

I will love whoever comes up with this game.
Still hoping to find this game!

Looking for a game, I remember playing it on the old windows 95. Was some kind of turn based strategy game. You could play as different countries and your troops were basically squares, with different symbols on them representing the troop types.

Hey everybody,

So I'm not sure if anyone will be able to find this game for me but here goes... I once got an emulator for either the gbc or gba on my ipod touch. I downloaded an rpg (I think) where you start out in a forest near some creepy dark town. I remember I was a mage and I had to go out into the woods of the town. Somewhere later in the game you have to fight your way across some really important bridge. Other than that I don't really remember much else. Any help would be great! The game had a side scrolling like function (I think) like the legend of zelda oracle of ages where you scrolled through panels as you moved through areas.

I have a really hard one here.

I played this game in a pub in the early 90's (It was next to a cabinet for TMNT and later N.A.R.C). It was a space shooter not too unlike galaga or phoenix, but the ship itself morphed when you got a power up. I', not 100% but I think the ship had purple on it.

I remember playing this game during the 90's (1990-1995), when I was in college.

It was a "3D DOS Game", was in first person perspective, and I am leaning towards it being Sci-Fi.

The one prominent thing I remember is seeing a locked room I could not get into, though you can see into it thru the large windows. Inside was a woman floating, or looking like she was floating, maybe she was on a table. I think she was also bathed in white light.

Not sure if this was like in a hospital someplace, but I get the feeling it might be in space on a ship.

To Recap:
3D DOS game
90's (1990-1995)
Possibly sci-fi
Floating woman in locked room

Thanks in advance!
Sounds like it might be Sentinal
I looked up picts and video of that game, but it don't look like anything I remember. Sorry

That game looked like ega, while the one I remember was at least vga 256 colors. Thanks for trying, I knew it would be a tough game to figure out, especially with limited information.

A little more info: I got my first PC in 1991. A PC of immense power! A 286 computer running at a whopping 10Mhz (Though I managed to "overclock" it to 12.6Mhz! :p I also had a PC Gamer subscription so maybe this game was a demo on one of their discs. I also remember their silly mascot on their discs... Coconut Monkey! The game felt like a Doom-type game. The graphics were quite good. The lady I mentioned was in a long flowing white dress/gown, and she was more of a static image. I don't remember if I had a weapon or what kind of attacks (if any) I had, or what the UI looked like.

Can anyone help me out? I've even trying to figure this game out for years. Here we go: It's for the SNES, and it was a platform game similar to Mario in that sense. It's was a bit colorful and from what I remember you jumped around in what seemed like something mechanical. At one point you went through a tunnel or some sort of exit, and it wa a transition screen you interacted with. You went through th machinery and it was like you were in the inside of a car.

Is it Sid Meier's Civilization?

Ok this is actually not really an old game, it was published in like 2007~2010, I can only remember a little about this game, it is an japanese RPG game, what I remember from that game is that you are a boy that would help fight someone.. For some kingdom, at the beginning your weapon is a wooden sword and you can up grade it as you go through the game. You can have more then one companion during the game when you are fighting other enemies, the boy was not your only option that u can use to fight, I remember that you can also choose someone else to fight, I also remember that there is one companion with the boy that he looks huge and he has a huge hammer type thing, also I remember one part of the story with this game is that the main character is in love with a girl ( I think it's the princess or something ) but later on the girl was killed by their enemies.
Sorry for the poor description.

Plez if anyone know this game please tell me the name

Hi everyone,

I am looking for an old game demo on the PC Player CD's.
I'm guessing it was around the 1997-2002 time period.

You played as a girl who starts off in a courtyard with a fountain in the middle. I think the objective of the game is to find SOMETHING...but not sure what. You are able to walk around, and the girl comments on hearing a baby crying in the distance. You can climb up to the roof of a house, and when you get inside through a window, you see a 'treasure chest'... but when you open it, there is a baby inside (who is crying). A woman suddenly appears and tells you to get out. You are then back at the courtyard again. I remember the end of the demo (or ONE of the ends to the demo) was to get to a barn(?) looking structure, and inside is a wine brewery. There is an old woman squishing the red grapes. Then all of a sudden, she is in your face cackling away. AND THAT IS THE END OF THE DEMO. Now, as a kid, I was pretty creeped out...but now I want to know what game it was!!

For some reason or other, I associate the name "Gabriel" with this game, but I've googled it and looked through forums and no one seems to know what the heck game it was!

Any help at all would be appreciated!!
Thanks! :)
That should be Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned.
Thanks Coldie! I had to look through a walkthrough just to make sure it was the same game!! hahaha. Makes sense since I associated "gabriel" with the game :D Now...to track down the game ans play it again :)

Hi,
3. 3rd game is slightly erotic. There was image of girl completely covered. You were controlling something (don't remember what), which you navigated through covered image and uncovering parts. There were also spiders or something like that trying to kill you. You had to uncover each girl few time. First time she was dressed then in underwear etc...
Sounds like one of the Gals Panic games.
That is it. Thank you nychold :)

I'm looking for an old game, playstation 2, possibly even playstation 1. Honestly, I don't remember much about the game, other than you played as a guy who was only alive because of the mobile suit he was in, it was keeping him alive. It's much like a gundam suit, but it isn't a gundam game. Anyways, I can't remember many details, it wasn't a side scroller, or tekken style fighting game, and it had a story line to it. Also, I can't remember if it was just that I was bad at games back then, or what, but it felt like the bosses learned the way you played, and countered you.
