Whatever, just wash your hands.
That does fit the description almost perfectly but I'm picturing something slightly different. It is important for me to realise that I was probably 6 or 7 when I played it and years of drug abuse has not particularly improved my memory.
Snes Drunk goes over the Micky games here.
It does sound like it might be Micky to Donald magical adventure 3.

He goes over it in more detail here.

Thanks! I am not 100% convinced I didn't dream it but I will look into all these games this evening and see if anything rings a bell. I didn't realised how many Mickey-Donald games there were!

There's a game I used to play as a kid on the old 2000s Windows PC (somewhere between 2003 and 2005 I think). I got it from a dollar store so god knows if it exists. It was a 3D racing game where you played as animals and drove karts. It played relatively similarly to mario kart with pickups for weapons and etc. I only remember one character and I'm pretty sure it was a purple dinosaur and I think he drove a green car/kart. I remember 2 levels, one being a forest with huge trees and one being an ice level. I only remember one of the pickups and it was bees as a weapon. I've been searching for a while and I can't find the game.

It's not an old game, it's an Early Access that I remember seeing but can't recall the name of.

It's basically a roguelite where every session of the game is you dreaming, and going into your own subconscious to do battle with the darker aspects of your psyche. And dying just means you wake up.

It looked pretty slick, but the name of it is completely escaping me.
Not quite perfect fits but

Or

It was on PS1 and all I remeber is you get a ring early on and I think it was like a slightly futuristic but everything was Medieval

The gameplay was pretty bad

This game should be from around 1998 It was a breakout style game with pastel colors they graphics were top notch for its time. You could play regular style breatout or with 2 paddles or 4. It was ahead of its time. I belive there were like ballons in the background and stars.

Could that have been either Breakout (2000) or Vyrox (also from 2000)?

You're going to have to provide a bit more info than that. Anything specific about the setting? Is it modern day, medieval fantasy, sci-fi, ancient egypt or something else? What kind of weapons do you use? Regular guns, energy weapons, spells or other magical stuff? What kind of enemies do you fight? Demons, undead, regular humans, nazis, robots, something else or combinations?

Because there a lot of games that play like classic Doom, but more obscure

There was this game where you play as a robot in a robot army that went rogue. Or something like that? All I remember is that the character was yellow, and I think you were able to get upgrades from the bodies of your fellow robots. It was on the PS2.

Hmm, I don't remember any where enemies just turn into puddles upon death, but lot of them got censored in certain regions. Just off the top of my head tho, early fps with regular guns include:

Rise of the Triad
Operation Body Count
The terminator: Rampage
William Shatner's Tekwar
Gore Galore

The NewZealand Story has got to be the answer to at least one of these.

I remember an old windows game I used to play way back as a kid. I believe it was a late 80s, early 90s game that definitely looked like it was Mario bros Inspired. It was a single player platformer with powers (similar to Mario bros). The art was standard, 2d pixel art that was nice and colorful.

I don't remember much from the first stage, but I'm pretty positive the second stage was dealing with platforming on pipes, but I know, for sure, one of the enemies there was a caterpillar like creature. Other than that, the last detail I recall is that it did, in fact, have an overworld level select similar to SMW style, minus the fancy animations.

I've been searching for this game for several years now and I only remember it being a game from the start menu way back. I just haven't the slightest clue what it is.

Do you remember if it was a console or pc game? Cause if it was a dos game it kinda sounds like it might be from the Commander Keen series, but I don't think those had power ups, but its been long enough that I don't remember and I didn't play all of them.

Oh, I unintentionally left that out. Yes, it was specifically a pc game, however, it was not Commander Keen. I've done extensive searching across a multitude of different websites that offered a host of old pc games, but to no avail.

A more specific description of the sprites and character, it looked more like a Mario rip-off, but with a somewhat unique style. (not entirely sure how to explain it)
The gameplay was pretty standard for a 2D, platforming side scroller. I just cannot remember a ton about it other than one of the power-ups being a Hammer, which gave the character a hard-hat and a hammer throwing ability. (Again, similar to Mario).

My best guess is that the game was around the 80s - 90s. I remember playing it on my Dad's old windows desktop. I just don't remember what OS it was running.

Hmm, well the main Mario clones I am aware of are Gina sisters but I have no idea if that got a pc release. Does this vid help at all?

Not really. Which leads me to my last conclusion.. Given the extensive research I've done, I fear the game I remember has just been lost to history. The main detail of it was, I am pretty convinced, (but not totally certain) that the game was a pre-designed windows game, like solitaire or Mine Sweeper, that just fell through and never was continued, and finding it just may not be possible anymore, from either lack of popularity or just lack of actual information at the time it was a thing..

By this point, it's probably better I accept the fact it likely won't resurface because it's just one of those kinds of games that just stops existing. I do appreciate the effort you gave to search. I'll likely do a bit more of my own, but I don't expect find it.

Yeah, it might be one of those that just gets lost to the ages. I know how you feel, there was this old dos side scroller I've kinda been wondering about that I used to play. I don't remember the main character but the starting level was in a really lush jungle and when you killed enemies they gibbed really nice. I don't remember much more than that. Its entirely likely it was just some dos thing an amateur put together and I will never find again.

Well, moving to a different game I remember.. There was one I used to play for mobile, specifically IOS. It was a turn based, text game that was black and light green, pixel art, where you were a knight that needed to scale a tower. Each turn you were given a decision to make, sometimes you were rewarded, other times you were punished. Healing was scarce and RNG, levelling up was not easy, and death meant a full restart. Overall, quite a challenging, yet fun game. I remember that you took rests at fires. No clue what the name was, but sure as hell enjoyed playing it while I could.
