Gotta say Mike Ness's version is the closest thing to a country song I've ever liked.
The Dead Kennedys also do a great cover of that song. In their version the main course is "I Fought the Law and I Won." Much more punk than The Clash's version.
The people in San Fran protested and the cops tried to get them away because they didn't have a permit.Once the cops started beating people most of the protesters ran but the gay community noticeably said "fuck this" and fought back against the fascists.
