hmm, the man obviously wants the part and looks to be one of the better candidates(imho at least) and he dos have seem to have some comic knowledge, this leads me to believe that he could probably do a pretty damn decent job if given half a chance at the part.

Stan Lee has zero control over at Marvel nowadays. He doesn't work there anymore.

he works in an advisor capacity and has a position akin to that of honored elder that said he has no Official control on anything marvel related but his words carry weight.

i think he would make a good movie actor. i'd rather see a guy that really wants the part get it than someone who is not enthusiastic.
as for old spice, it really depends on how well he acts. i mean, Dwayne Johnson did pretty well, and he was a wrestler before. if this movie does well, he could end up better known for this than OSG.

you know if Marvel makes a Luke cage movie I'm gonna go out on limb and say soon they're going to need the X-men characters. And it may come down to a big legal battle over x-men. and spiderman, and daredevil and any other IPs of marvel that marvel got tired of fox ruining. If not marvel gonna do what it always does in the situations slight renaming, and then whatever it wants. OS we may see an astonishing x-men movie, a spectacular spiderman movie and a devious daredevil movie pulled under the marvel shared universe umbrella. and everyone will start to see the cool differences and start to see the good ones and not the bad ones. and then fox will stop making bad superhero movies!

I think Marvel got the Daredevil rights back a while ago, but yeah they still need the x-men and spiderman back.

The biggest confusion that I have never heard clarified is how much of the x-men content Fox actually has. Do they only have x-men and x-men villains? Do they have all mutants? What about Namor? Last I heard Sony has claim based on the Fantastic Four and marvel has claim based on the Invaders. What about Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch? They're just as important as Avengers. X-factor? Alpha flight? Excalibur?

If they do make a Luke Cage movie, casting him would be a great idea. You're pretty much guaranteeing there will be a lot of ladies in the audience. Hell, they should have advertised the hell out of Thor's abs to drum up the sales for that too. Mmmmm...Thor's abs....
