Good ole sarcasm. Yes, if dubbed then Funimation seems to be the way to go. Although the heavy censoring of 4Kids did inspire the creation of the Abridged series of shows.
Sarcasm? What? Huh? Where be sarcasm?
Oh, sarcasm, how original.
Again! Where is the sarcasm?!?! You are confusing me!!

I like both.
One Piece more than Naruto.
And i like Bleach more than both of them.

I watch the Anime but i prefer the Manga for them.
One Piece has had the most Consistent quality in the Manga, its still just as good as it was when it first started.
Naruto has gone down hill, for the past 20 or so Chapters its been nothing but DARKNESS CRAWLING IN MY SKKKKIIIIINNNNNN derp from Sauske.
Its been getting better though.

I've actually been watching One Piece lately and I find it quite interesting. There are times when I feel like a certain arc is dragging on though. I mean really, a fight against the big bad of the arc shouldn't take three or four episodes. As for Naruto, well I never really got into Naruto. I watched it for a little while but my interest faded eventually.

I lol'd. Either way, 4Kids basically dubbed certain anime shows and made them more popular on this side of the world, but they almost always completely butchered the show by making it 100% kid-friendly. Funimation keeps the anime completely whole, to my knowledge, and usually have superior dubs. I was a guy who would never watch dubs before, but then I saw the amazing job Funimation did with Baccano!, and I had to make an exception.

I am a fan of the two, One Piece being my favorite of both. Which do you like, if any? I know there are quite a few of you on the escapist who don't. If so, please state a reasoning to your opinion.

(Naruto includes the entire series, Shippuden included.)
Tough call...Naruto is starting to jump the shark...but since it will be ending this year....I guess they have to_One piece...That series will never stop being fun.

I guess my answer is...

BOTH! ^_^ Beause both are damn awesome

I haven't seen One Piece yet, so my opinion will obviously be Naruto. I do love the series, regardless of the complaints by anime elitists and haters.

But this is assuming we're talking about subtitles. The dubs are terrible. TERRIBLE.

Never seen One Piece, but I was interested in Naruto when I saw some commercials for it leading up to it coming to Cartoon Network a few years back. I thought I would love it...until I actually saw it. For me, pretty much everything was good except for the main character. He just annoyed the crap out of me and IMO completely ruined an otherwise good looking series.

One Piece is good, I follow the manga online. But, compared to Black Heaven, Baccano, and other anime's it's something to read when there's nothing else there.

Neither.

I never really fell for One Piece, and after having watched about 100-something episodes of Naruo I realized something and went: "Hey this is basically dragonball but with ninjas instead of sayians!"

Then I stopped watching.

I don't like either. Naruto because I just think it's high time it needs to die. And One Piece because it's not as straight forward anymore. (if you mean the mangas then disregard the latter)

They both don't know when to end...

Naruto first of all suffers from Designated Protagonist Syndrome. Which basically means... The main cast is lame, while side characters are far more interesting. When Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura aren't the picture, it is actually a pretty good story. The side characters were very interesting. But in shippuden they got rid of most of my beloved side characters... But it's oh kay, because they were replaced with the best thing to come out of Naruto. The Akatsuki. With Hidan being my favorite. Guess what... They die ><. What the hell Masashi Kishimoto!? But it's alright... they all get brought back to life in the cheapest way possible. =_=

Naruto was good at one time. However it's pretty bad when the main character ruins it for you. Note, that I mostly just read the manga.

One Piece can be explained simply. They have made creativity boring. I know longer care about talking hippos in business suits. At 1st it was very weird and out there. Which kept it interesting. However after the Baroque Works, it went down hill at least from my point of view pretty fast.

Again I read the Manga.

They were both really amazing at one time.

One piece, mostly because, as far as I can tell, Oda isn't stuck up his own ass.

What I mean by this is, early Naruo was pretty awesome. It was a fairly well done blend of action and comedy, and whil eit did follow many tropes, it did them well. However, as time went on, it became... tiresome. It started playing those tropes a little too seriously, following them to the letter (seriously, if you've read the most recent chapters... ugh). More than that, it feels like Kishimoto has basically decided to do whatever he wants, screw if it leaves gaping fucking plotholes the size of Kyuubi in the story.

One Piece, being startd many, many years ago, also follows some of the tropes. The difference is that, started so many years ago, it actually helped form and develop many of the tropes into what they are today. Yes, that excuses One Piece from the problem of following a trope; when you help make something a trope, it's not a cliche for you since you either did it first or helped it evolve considerably. More than that, Oda doesn't seem like he's arrogant. It feels like he does this because of a passion he has for it. Some might say he continues it for money, but if he ended One Piece and started a new Manga, you bet your ass people would buy it, so that ceases to be a concern.

More than that, the focus on a few simple, repeating themes (like that of loyalty to ones nakama, which basically means something like "Best Friend," but actually implies much more than that (but less than any kind of Romantic interest. It's simmilar to familial love, but different enough to be hard to define)) has kept the story on track, with few, if any, plot holes that are less holes than intentional gaps to be filled in later.

So yes, I prefer One Piece to the drivel that Kishimoto calls what was once a really good piece of work. Sometimes, though, a little of the old way Naruto was done shines through (like with the Giant Octopus).

Versus thread are looked down upon here...so are memes but...

I know your anime is good, and I WON'T let you finish, but One piece is the greatest shonen anime/manga of all time. OF ALL TIME!

But I am extremely biased * looks at avatar*
Supa Franky....

I always giggle when I read your name. One Piece is awesome (though I couldn't choose a favorite character) Naruto was, at one time, interesting, but that was when I was younger oh so much younger than today, like 10. When I look back most of what I can remember is filler. I gave up on the series when I saw the "ramen chefs kidnap half the village" episode.

I think this video explains nakama rather well:

Neither. Avatar: The Last Airbender overpowers both. Also, Digimon.

Those may or may not be the only animes I've ever watched and actually enjoyed, which is to say, "did not claw my eyes out with salad forks to escape".
