Activision is a good company. Call of Duty is a great series. Mass Effect 2 was a fantastic game while Mass Effect 1 was pretty bad. Most of the people here are no longer gamers, but elitists who can never be satisfied because they are too good for mindless fun and formulas that work over and over again.

1. Bioshock is one of the most overrated games of all time.
2. I liked Oblivion better then Morrowind.
3. Gears of War series is kind of boring.
4. Silent voiced Protagonists>>>>>>Protagonists with a voice (see dragon age 1 and dragon age 2)
5. WoW is not addicting (kind of fun but never got me addicted to it once).
6. KOTOR game and story with Jedi Knight: Jedi academy gameplay=best game ever imo.
7. Red Dead Redemption while the game was really good, is also pretty overrated imo.
8. Left4Dead series is a game you play once, have a hell of a time, then never play it again.
9. Assassin's Creed 1, 2, and a little of Brotherhood (see number 8).
10. SWTOR is going to be a great MMORPG while Guild Wars 2 won't (it will do ok, just not what it is hyped to be).

I have a longer list but this is off the top of my head XD.

Death penalty = Yes please.
Demon's Souls is piss easy.
Final Fantasy has, and never will be good. Been bad games since always.
Minecraft is horribly overrated.
There is no "Neutral".
Bioware stopped making good games after KotOR 2.
Too many people proclaim themselves Star Wars fans without having not near enough knowledge of Star Wars itself.
Religion is the root to all evil, and will only serve to further make the world a worse place.
Harry Potter is actually not that great of a book.
Marvel owns DC, hard.
Disney is dead.
Drugs and alcohol should be more lethal. If people want to intoxicate themselves, might as well do it properly.
99/100 games takes no proper skill to play, it only requires that you actually got a half working brain.
Um, you DO know that Disney literally owns Marvel right?

As for my currently unpopular gaming opinions I guess it would be that I think Tron should have gotten an oscar, Thor is a great game, I'm mad that I let the negative hype keep me away from Final Fantasy XIII this long, and I believe that Wolfenstein is Id's Magnum Opus. I also still believe that it's wise to invest in Microsoft even though their customer service is nearly the worst I've ever experienced and nearly completely incompetent because sadly they still own half the world.

Dude I completely agree! I don't understand all the hate about it. and I only noticed how long the death animation is after someone pointed it out.

OT: umm...I'm a Christian (doesn't seem to be very popular here).
I believe in a literal 6 day creation.
I think that gays should have full marriage rights (only people irl don't agree with me on this one)
I think that Portal was vastly overrated.
I think that the Wii isn't the worst thing to happen to video games, and actually find it to be rather fun.
I like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Liking something that is/isn't popular doesn't make you cool.
I like all of Linkin Park's music (except some of the remixes)
FOX News isn't terrible, and they aren't evil.
I think that guns should have severely limited restrictions.
I think the death sentence should be implemented more.
All drugs should be made legal, and people should just be responsible for their own actions.
Pedophilia isn't really all that bad (as long as both are intelligent enough to make their own choices)
...I could go on but I think this post is long enough.

Graveyards are a waste of space. Corpses should be donated to science, ground up and used as fertilizer or animal feed, or otherwise disposed of in the cleanest and cheapest way possible. It has ceased to be a person, its just rotting meat, why does it need its own piece of land for year and years to come?

Surprisingly, most people don't agree with me. Odd, eh?
Its a matter of respect for the person so they dress them up nice and pretty and give em a fancy hole. I don't agree with grinding them up but yes, graveyards are a waste of space. They should cremate all the bodies and then have the families get rid of the ashes in a place they think is good, or they can keep it.

Either i'm misreading or that's a Fight Club reference. good job :)

OT: Mindless Self Indulgence and Emilie Autumn are the best band and singer respectively, solely because there is nothing like them or similar to them. Oh, and they are just awesome.

These next few things i don't know if they are a general opinion or just mine but i'm saying it anyway.

When Hannibal ended without Starling and Hannibal getting together like in the book, i was absolutely pissed.

I believe that at the end of Code Geass Lelouch is alive and eventually gets with Kallen (or Colin or karen, so many different soundings and spellings, and i don't know why
How an i think this? The opening was left quite open and i can imagine a believable string of events that lead to the the ending i want, so i accept that as the proper ending. And C.C was boring.

FSM is real. Really real, not I'm-just-trollin' real. It would make my day if it were true so i'll believe it until i'm proven wrong, and then i'll stay in permanent denial.

Avatar was a shitty remake.

James Cameron would make a good director of live-action edition of anime movies because he is good at taking an original story, not changing it at all and making everything look really good.

Rugrats the movie was one of the most gut wrenching movies in the world, better than a lot of the more popular and expensive films trying for the same effect. (I might mean heart wrenching).

They should make a movie in 2 parts of the pokemon world; Ash getting to be one of the best trainers in the world and then a live action rendition of the Mewtwo movie. Except that pokemon can die in battle, Ash is closer to 18 and in the end he gets killed not brought to life by tears. Basically a really dark, gruesome version of pokemon.

MMORPGs need to incorporate RTS and FPS qualities, make the game a balance between a persons skill and there build (aka less spells, faster action, click to attack, more passives) The quests and storyline leading up to end game need to be linked to a main storyline, need to make the character actually care about other NPCs and players and should be more fun than kill this, gather this without making quests about doing skill-less actions like riding a goblin car around and doing random shit. The leveling process shouldn't be fast or slow, but a length that's in between and that will stay the same for different players by giving them different quests depending on their skill level. End game content should be constantly changing and items should be massively customisable but also balanced by game developers.

James Wan is one of the only REAL horror movie directors. Most other movies are just thrillers or hot teens killing each other while showing a bit of tit. He captures the old school horror that i was beggining to miss.

Saw began to fail when the Aussie writers weren't writing the thing anymore, although they left enough of a storyline behind for the new writers to fuck up another four movies.
Or maybe it was the directors.

The future for zombie games is proper survival aka pick your position in life and its starts you at the start of the apocolypse, and you choose your own way to survive and kill etc, with totally randomised encounters and events (that make sense) that will make the game a new game each time it is played.

RRRRANT RANT RANT

I think that politicians of every sort are all liars and thieves who are out to serve their own interests. No matter what letter they put behind their name or what animal totem they choose to represent themselves with, no matter how much they appeal to your personal beliefs, they are lying and pandering to you. Our only hope, as a collective people, is to do everything we can to become as independent as possible of the systems that politicians support and endorse so that we are no longer bound to their will, which is not the will of the people. This is truth and is true in every country in the world.

I also believe that the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights are not documents which express rights granted to the American people by the United States government. I believe they are documents which identify rights granted to ALL humanity by our creator, however you may see it, and that it is the role of government to DEFEND those rights, not attempt interpret them for us.

Star Wars would not be better if Sean Connery did the voice of Darth Vader
Neil Patrick Harris is in the top 5 best actors ever, quite possibly number 1

Ender's Game would make a horrible movie
the Twlight books were not nearly as bad as everyone makes them out to be
Is it unpopular to think that Eddie Izzard is the best comedian ever? *sigh* Chock up another one to my list then. I was at Borders and the lady helping me look for comedy dvds there said that he is her favorite comedian too so I think his popularity is on the rise. (Hope so, he deserves it.)

I have an irrational hatred for people who think that Bioware made KOTOR II. They didn't. Obsidian did. That's why it's full of bugs and doesn't have an ending.

With that said, KOTOR II with the Restoration Mod is my favorite game of all time. And even vanilla, I think it's a very, very, very good game.

Halo 3: ODST is the best Halo game, and Halo's overall story is phenomenal and worlds better than Star Wars (even though Star Wars is awesome)
My thought process:

Huh. Well, that's certainly interesting. I thought ODST did the best in overall atmosphere and music, but the daytime levels were kind of terrible. I don't necessarily agree with his opinion, but it's an interesting thought. And, well, the story has some great aspects to it, but it shits all over itself in certain spots too. Better than Star Wars? Well... It's definitely something to think about.

And then...

Agreed. I have a really serious hatred for ones where the water is rising and you're trapped and then you gotta get out. Can not stand them.

OT: I hated Inception, and i hate that new (kinda old now) Batman movie. The "Dark Knight" one. I never even saw the Dark Knight, just because everyone said I had to and that it was great. And no, I'm not a hipster or anything like that, the movie doesn't really interest me anyway.

Thought of a few more

Bin ladin is a nice guy

The difference between Hitler and Obama is that Hitler was a great leader and all Obama knew how to do was the scapegoating bit (then again it was the presidents before him that did the scapegoating but oh well)

If shooters were realistic the Americans would start the war, create lame excuses when they began to lose and then Russia would fuck them up (not trying to be racist i just think the Americans will be the first to make a mistake in this sort of we-have-the-weapons-ready-but-we-won't-shoot stand off sort of thing.)

Saying Racism is racist because it implies that there are different races in the first place. Instead of being called a racist, i should be called a prejudicial dick (lol not even sure that's a word)

I play FPS's for the story.

Call of Duty
Halo
Gears of war
Half- Life

I barely go on multiplayer unless there's a game mode I really like I.E. Team SWAT in Halo: Reach, Wager Matches in Black Ops. etc.

And story wise, I will pick that shit apart by playing the game a hundred times.

"Noting Left" by As I Lay Dying has The greatest buildup to a solo. EVER

I personally have not seen an RPG that has satisified me. Any Game that touts itself as a Role-Playing Game should allow you to be as evil as you want, without repercussions. Fable 2 came a little close there, but was terrible as a game, so... yeah.

HItler was one of the greatest leaders of the 20th century. This fact should be self-evident; I dare you to name one American president that could bring their entire country to the point of sheer fanaticism (spellcheck?) the way he did. I've had several school-age friends writing essays that reviewed Hiler in a favourable light, and were failed because the teacher disagreed.

On the same note, Hitler has got to be the most overused representation of evil I have ever seen. In America, he is literally equivalent to the Devil himself.

There is a special circle of hell for people that can't spell, or refuse to take the time to do it properly.

Abortion should me mandated for any female under the age of 17. Underage pregnancy should be treated as a felony.

Governments don't have to be corrupt in order to fail; they only have to be inept.

The USA remains the only country to use a nuclear bomb against another country. They also refuse the constant demands of the UN to disarm their own warheads, touting national security. Not really an opinion, but it's good to keep in mind whenever you hear the US president speak out against another country building nuclear facilities.

I typically don't post here, because I usually have much better things to do. However, it's 2 in the morning, and I can't sleep, so here you guys go... some grade-A hater-bait.

I think it's wierd if a woman goes into a bar or pub by herself.

Most of my friends balk at that and ask me if I'm living in the 60's but something doesn't seem right about it. I'm a woman btw.

It's just wierd is all. lol
i have to see your statement and raise you: I think it's weird if _anyone_ goes in a bar or pub by themselves.
Maybe.

Although the older man could go and have a pint and read the paper but those types usually have cronies in the pub anyways right?

There's something off about it.
ah, see now there's a difference for me now too... I assumed you were talking about going into a place with the intent to consume alcohol alone - which for me is alien as i'm not a heavy drinker and would never consider drinking without company. Somehow drinking alone in public is like openly admitting you've got a drink problem. Dunno...
If the intention is simply to sit down and read the paper then i'm not so fussy who does it, although my preference would probably be a coffee over a beer - and I leave if it gets busy and there are groups of poeple waiting for a seat!!
Why is it weird to go to the bar (man or woman) alone? Where I'm from we do it all the time! To me, if you stay home and down pints THEN you have a drinking problem, but in public out in the open? The only problem you'll have here is if you can't hold your liquor, even then we're nice folk so we'd probably just bring you a new glass and tell you to be more carefull.

I enjoy the F.E.A.R. series

i found Kane and Lynch:Dead men quite a fun game

All the fable games after the first suck

Steam is slowly taking over the world

people should read an entire manual of the item before calling tech support
