I spell it Ork...no matter the circumstances. I mean...the spelling of 'Ork' itself is so much more Orky, anyhow...

Depends on the orc/ork in question.

If we're talking in general I would say Ork (I prefer the Warhammer franchise).

But if I'm talking specificly about another franchise (Tolkien, Elder Scrolls,etc) the I say orc.

But either way is good, cause I like it orky!

The only time ive ever seen it spelled 'Ork' is in the Shadowrun genesis game.

In the Lord of the Rings, Tolkien used 'orc'[footnote]Interestingly, there's a foreword in my copy where he denies claims that he was referring to the orca whale when he wrote the books[/footnote]. In Warhammer 40k, GW decided to change this spelling to 'ork', possibly to resemble the brutish, loutish nature of the creatures themselves.

It depends on what the creator of the specific fantasy world has decided to name them.

well, ork is a derivative. If you're playing Warhammer, you use Ork.

Otherwise, use Orc.

Ahh, this is so fun... I love the Orks. I think they're the one universally loved race in 40k, by fans - there's all sorts of divides when it comes to Tyranids or Necrons or Tau, but everyone loves the Orks.
