Armion walked over to the statue. While there would certainly be plenty of time left in which to visit the stalls, he had no interest in such a venture. The trade district was of no interest to him, as without any money on him, all it would do is result in temptation for him, and he had done enough as it was.
As he reached the statue, he saw that the crowds had been hiding a bench at the statue's base. He sat down, resting his scythe so that the blade hung over the back.
Ah yes, his scythe. Prior to leaving the Scholar's District, he had run off to pick it up from where he had it stored, thinking he might need it. He hoped he wouldn't though, and since the scythe was taller then him when he stood up straight, he had the idea that it could be a deterrent.
He still retained one of his umbrellas, which he had underneath his robe. It was uncomfortable, but it was better then forgetting about it.
Sitting at the bench, he drew out the book that Conner had got him so casually. Looking over things on the journey to the Trade District, Armion had realized that even if he wanted to leave the group now, he couldn't. Now, he thought, I must pay back Conner by finding out what I can from this book. He opened it to the chapter marked Dryads...
