Sylvester kicked to one side, and the ice spread onto the building where he had been, forming a bridge to the assassin. This was what Sylvester had needed. With the man lacking metal armor, Sylvester lacked the ability to get a sufficiently accurate shock at him. But with a bridge of ice right next to him leading to the man, Sylvester had this won.

As he swung back towards it, he used his right hand to unleash a devastatingly strong bolt of lightening into it. At the other end of the bridge of ice, the man keeled over, apparently unconscious. Sylvester released the other two meters of his chain that he had kept concealed from the man in order to give the impression that he was helpless, dropped to the ground, picked his glasses back up, and walked closer to the assassin.

At a range of 2 meters Sylvester unleashed another bolt of lightening into his unconscious opponent. It was not a strong one, but it was just for safety purposes. Sylvester had serious doubts about whether the man had actually been unconscious, and that was just to make certain that he was.

He walked back to his still hanging chain, shinned up it, and unhooked it from the gutter before climbing down a drainpipe. Once down again, he tied the man up on the end of his chain. it started as a collar, but got more complicated then that. The In order to secure it in place and protect himself from another ice attack, Sylvester finished by ramming the spike on the end of the chain through the hands of the assassin, locking them together. This procedure woke the man up, and he emitted a scream of pain that Sylvester silenced by putting another bolt of lightening into him.

Dragging the man along on his now considerably shorter chain, he headed to the bed and breakfast he had made reservations at. At the desk, the attendant asked his name.

"Sylvester Zariel, although you've got my down as Hulian. And this man" he said, taking out Damien's mark and showing it to her, "is going to stay with me and be given breakfast tomorrow on the house."

The attendant nodded, and showed Sylvester to his room. He dragged the unconscious assassin up the stairs with difficulty, payed the attendant, and asked if he could be given a wakeup call.

"But don't enter." he said. "I'm setting up traps to stop more assassins coming for me, and I don't want to be blamed for someone else getting skewered or something."

The attendant nodded at him, and left. He tied the chain in a complex knot around the leg a heavy and durable looking wardrobe in the corner, lay the assassin down next to it, and decided that it would be a good day to go to sleep early. It was now 5 o'clock, and that would give him 14 hours sleep with his 7 o'clock wakeup call. Just what he needed in order to stay fresh for tomorrow. Besides, by then, news of his false name usage should have spread across the town, and it would be a good time to get out fast.

Sylvester set up a few traps using some of the items in the room. It wasn't anything as serious as he had made out, they were simply to make any potential assassins yell in pain. After adapting one of these for every possible entrance to the room, he lay back in his bed and went to sleep...

Again, sorry for the really long post.

Also, I'm moving my time line a bit faster then yours for now, but unless there is some form of intervention from one of you somehow, my character will just wake up at the 7 o'clock wakeup call, so I'll correct it then.

Damien was testing out his new powers. "We'll wait for 2 more hours. if no-one else comes by then, we leave. sound good to you guys?" He formed a giant rose from the Void. "Shatter" Damien commanded. the leaves split apart. just as suddenly as they were there, they disappeared. the 3 trees in front of Damien were cut into discs as the petals reformed into one rose. he lost control and the rose disappeared. "Damn," muttered Damien. "Almost had it."

"hmmmmmmm scorpion plant." He said as if mentally jotting down the note.

He resealed the bag and put it in his belt.

"When do we go?"

Damien sighed. "Two hours. we wait for anyone else for two more hours, then we assume they are not coming and leave, unless circumstances press otherwise." He turned around and once again started training with his new abilities.

Look, I don't mean to be rude, but is this waiting for more members to turn up going anywhere?

I wouldn't mind if this waiting was for a good reason, but it seems that you are all just waiting for someone to join your group when I'm pretty sure you have everyone ready. So could one of you just make your group set up a camp, or come to the town the assassin went to, or something?

Otherwise, this looks like it's going to die.

Nah, i was just waiting for Connor in the story. but point taken. we move on.
Damien signaled for everyone to move. he shouldered the bag, and started to lead. everyone followed. They arrived at the town. He signed into a bed & breakfast. her eyes opened wide and she ushered him inside with the group and said a man bearing his mark by the name of Sylvester had said Damien was to join him. She told him the room number and he walked towards the room. when he knocked on the door, no one answered. Damien warped to the other side of the door and turned around. he saw a trap that would have really hurt if it had been sprung "Definitely the mystery man. He started yelling. "Hey, buddy, wake-up call!"

Azraellod, my post is based on the fact that it took us a while to reach the hotel and is now 7:00-ish. Everyone else, sorry for railroading you guys, but i don't want this RP to die!

Sylvester blinked awake. Already? Then he recognized the voice.

Sylvester immediately fired a bolt of lightening at the man, knocking him unconscious. He was not able to take one of Sylvester's Lightening bolts while he was at full strength it seemed. The man was at less then 5 meters from him, and as such had no way of guarding in time. He then went to release his captive assassin, and held him like he was on a leash.

"What is your third ability? I've seen the first and second, but what is the third?"

"I can recover from injuries quickly." Sylvester looked at his hands, and saw them grotesquely healed over the chain.

"Not really helpful here. Want to stay with him or me?" Sylvester indicated the unconscious man again.

"You." the man looked horrified at the thought of staying with Damian. Sylvester was surprised, considering the situation he had put the man in. Damien must be terrifying.

Sylvester heard the sound of hammering on the door, and ran over to the window. He made the man hang the chain out the window, before lowering himself on it. He heard the sound of the door breaking open, and yanked the man down, catching him and collapsing under his weight. The man got up, and Sylvester sat up, winded. He had to catch his breath before the ones in his room went after him...

Sorry, misread part of your revised post. And I made a few assumptions here, since improved reflexes was not one of your abilities.

By the way, your Orichalcum armor makes you weaker against Sylvester's lightening bolts and easier to target, because it's a metal. Just so you know.

Damien got up. somehow, the mark on his arm had absorbed some of the blow. "Damn, Sylvester, why did you have to go and do that?" he noticed Sylvester was not in the room. he shrouded himself in the Void and looked out the window, which had gashes in the paint. he saw the mystery man down there. he warped down. He waved to Sylvester, then saw the man who Sylvester had tied up. "A little pest trouble?"

I know. however, as long as Damien don't have any other complications, such as a blade through his lung, he can usually recover.

I know. It was merely a diversion anyway. Sylvester had no intention of killing you in this instance, since he's currently weakened in combat due to his chain not being available for use.

Sylvester had run out of ideas save for keep Damien talking. His chain was useless in this situation. "I have my own reasons for keeping this man. Tell me, which of us is the pest in this case?"

The man was edging away from Damien, but Sylvester kept him nearby through keeping him on the chain. The man briefly struggled to get free, before Sylvester applied another shock to the chain, and the man fell unconscious again.

"apparently the assassin you're dragging behind you, Hulian. Damien saw Sylvester's shocked face and laughed. "What, you think you can just flash around my mark and expect no-one to notify me? whenever people see my mark, they tell me."

Hulian? What the hell?

It was reasonable to assume that the assistant had misinterpreted what he's said, and this man really thought he was Hulian. This was surprising to Sylvester though, as he had deliberately told the receptionist that that wasn't his real name, and had expected to be known by his real name by now.

Puzzled, he looked at Damien again, and noticed a peculiar pattern he hadn't seen there before. It looked vaguely flower shaped, although his glasses had fallen off when the assassin landed on him, so he wasn't exactly sure what it was.

He was recovering his breath quickly, but with no chain, all he had was another hit and run attack. He decided on one to irritate that damn assistant though, as he had not wanted Damien to find out about this. But then there were his allies to deal with... maybe that assistant would have to get off freely...

Sylvester looked up, blinked in surprise, and pulled the assassin in closer...

I'll change my post if you disagree.

Oh, whoops. That was supposed to be indicating the assassin he was dragging along the ground. I forgot to put that bit in.

Sylvester was merely showing the assistant the mark in order to exploit the benefits of the underworld. He didn't think you would turn up until the next day at earliest.

VaudevillianVeteran, Hollow Grimm, go ahead and make character sheets, I'm sure no one would mind a few new Outworlders popping up.

Connor rammed his shoulder against the door until it cracked and fell away, but the instant he tried to enter the room a wave of intense pain washed over his body causing him to cry out and collapse to the floor. Connor holds his head and stumbles back to his feet, gripping the wardrobe to keep from falling down, "Alright, lets try and find where Damien went, unless the guy who rented this room had a teleport ability they couldn't have gotten to far."

Damien noticed Sylvester pull in the assassin. "I don't really appreciate you taking Hulian's name for yourself though, Sylvester. But if it is necessary, i guess ill let it slide." Damien also saw that Sylvester was about to try and spring away. "Don't bother escaping; you are already surrounded." Damien uttered a single word:
"Shatter."
all the roses broke up into deadly petals, ready to cut at the slightest provacation. they surrounded the three, making it impossible to escape.

It wasn't a threatening trap in the slightest. I didn't bother to specify it because it was just designed to make you yell in pain. It could be as simple as putting a stick above the door and having it fall on you. All it was for was to wake Sylvester up really.

Sylvester had no intention of just running. He had a plan already formulated to make certain that escape was very possible. The problem was, one of the conditions for the escape was not 100% likely, and that could be a problem. Sylvester just needed an escape from this, but that frustrating void power kept causing too many problems.

He considered telling Damien who his captive was, and wondered what his response would be. Unlikely to go according to plan anyway.

So his current escape plan would be effective if the condition occurred. He looked up again, hoping it would...

"Well, if we came threw the front door there is only one escape rout left." Murphy said as he crossed the room and placed his knifed hand on the window sill. He looked down and saw Damien fighting another man a short distance from the window.

"And before you ask. It was all elementary my dear Watson" He said with a big grin.

The condition was fulfilled.

With horrible speed, Sylvester's left arm shot up and fired a bolt of lightening at the one that had poked his head out of the window. It hit him in the neck, and he fell back into the room, stunned.

Sylvester turned to Damien and said with a smile, "I have things to do. You might want to check on your friend's health. He doesn't have your regenerative gifts. He's at more risk then you were..."
