A gun that neutralizes the targets weak nuclear force
Excellent, our enemies will truly fear us when we prevent their nuclear decay!

OT, a gun that shoots crowbars. That are made from puppy bones. (To count for the moral dilemma quota)

A gun that would shoot black holes, you'd only have to fire it once to solve all your problems and well....take out everything. Downside is that you'd be taking out -everything- so some care might be required.

i would love a gun that sucks bullets shot at me and when it fills, shoots them all in different directions in front of me, kinda like a shield and a weapon at the same time, and you could add varying effects to it, make it work like a minigun or even use it like a jetpack or rocket jump by shooting to the ground, make it have a hell of a kickback.

1. Used in a stealth type game. The shot must back off a solid surface to work, and emits a loud noise/flash.
2. Going to have too cop out here (standard sci-fi energy bolts).
3. It's powered by the souls of small children and the innocent.
4. You're supposed to be the hero, but if you need energy to fight the 'bad guys' you need to harvest souls. (NPCs may grow to resent you.)

Telekinetic bullets: each bullet has inside a very powerful (albeit tiny) brain which gives the bullets psychokinetc powers, so they can teleport, be fired in arcs and even consider themselves who deserves to die, so they may turn against the one who shot them.
That'd bring a whole new meaning to the term 'spray-and-pray'.

Disappointing to say the least.

Even if you have to craft a game around these responses, I'd like to hear them.
Surely you speak of....

a gun that induces terror to the targets, to the point where they claw their own eyes out, downside is to reload you have to suck up happy feeling in the user so you will be forever unhappy. or reload it by rubbing the battery on happy children.

Back on topic, for a semi realistic weapon, I'd want some sort of delayed shotgun, like you shot the shell and it would get most of the way to the target before shooting the buckshot part so you could have more range and more control of the spread. Or another version where you could shoot down a hallway and the shell would somehow shoot sideways around a corner.
I can't help but think, "there's a bolter round for that". Actually probably both of those.

Something that ignites your target, slowly, slowly burning away their flesh but leaving them able to stagger around flailing and shrieking and begging for mercy. But it's a melee weapon, and you have to be right in front of them to use it, forcing you to watch as they perish.

A knife or a dagger that sucks the souls of the people it kills, enslaves them and can then insert the enslaved soul into a dead body, animating it so that it can be used as an ally or to distract enemy fire. In a stealth heavy game where this is your only weapon it could be awesome.

a gun that lets you take control of the person you shoot, but you only regain control over your own body again after you make the person kill themselves. so you have to kill yourself and feel it every time you use it...

A ray gun that causes all electronic sources of light to over charge and essentially become flashbangs, even something as small as an LED. Considering lights are everywhere it'd be pretty darn effective.

Also: A knife that copies the appearance of anyone you stab with it.

I've seen enough from weight-gain fetishists to convince me why I would NOT want a gun like that in video games.
You mean like Eternal--NO! NO! That thread didn't happen!

In any case, a Terry's Chocolate Orange. When you hit someone with it, your character shouts "don't tap it, WHACK IT!"

consuming the pieces restores some health.

Ok heres what i got, a gun that shoots icicles the catch is that you can only fire it if it is plugged into a faucet and the hose can only stretch so far so you either have to patrol one area or unplug and run to the next before getting killed.

a gun that "paints" areas in a flammable liquid that can be ignited with a lighter that you have in your other hand, so you could set up traps or block doors or set a long line of fire down a hallway that you ignite when the enemy is halfway down.

A gun that fires ricocheting bullets, but each shot doubles in power every time it ricochets.

Captcha: be mine. Exactly how I feel about that gun.

A device that summons a weeping angel or SCP-173 that targets the enemy team.

A 1 time use gun that shoots a projectile that will put a 2m diameter hole in every building and kill everyone (including teammates) in it's path until it reaches that end of the map.

A device that forces an enemy to perform a QTE to tie their shoelaces or they'll trip and fall.

A gun that clouds an area with pitch black darkness and has a night vision scope. Good for knifing people

A gun that shoots a laser-boomerang.
Cuts through anything, including people, and you control it with the analog stick/mouse/whatever, so it's rather badass, however you have to wait for it to come back to the gun before firing again.
You can speed up the boomerang with the right trigger/a key on the keyboard, and this of course makes reloading happen sooner, but makes you less accurate at cutting bitches and hoes due to the speed at which you are directing the laserang.

Second, a gun that takes away one section of scenery/environment, which can do lots of things, such as cause enemies to fall to their death from the lack of platform, or lose cover, or remove armour on a tank, etc.
That same piece can then be placed again somewhere else, for your benefit, such as making a platform, or cover.

This might have been done before, but how about a gun which lets you fire three stakes (one at a time, of course) and damages anything within the triangle formed. The farther apart you place the stakes, the less damage you cause. After a certain distance, you wouldn't inflict any damage at all.

Rinoa's limit break comes to mind.
Strapping your dog to your wrist and shooting it at people must take skill and some crazy upper arm strength. I don't think I would consider a propelled dog a normal weapon. Moral implication of you're throwing your dog with enough impact at an enemy to kill them...doesn't the dog get hurt too? Ask your self the question how many more time you can shoot your dog at people before it's skull caves in.

If all else fails you could just rely on this beauty:
