I want to bang my head against a wall whenever my parents start talking politics. I consider myself to be fairly liberal, while they are conservatives. Which would be fine...but they're the type that actually take people like Glenn Beck and Bill O' Reily seriously. Heck, my Dad even likes Sarah Palin so much that she bought her biography and wants her to run for president. (I will kill myself if that ever happens. Kudos to my Mom, though. She doesn't think her suitable for president either.) I can't really tolerate either of those guys, and having my parents discuss politics around me is just like having two tv's blaring with Beck on one and O' Reily on the other.

I do my best to just ignore them, as I'm quite content with them not knowing I'm a Democratic atheist. I'm not letting that cat out of the bag until I have to. (So probably the next U.S Presidential election)

and the most infuriating thing i have ever overheard was during my junior year of high school i was in history class we were watching a video about jfk and a girl sitting to the back right of me was talking to her friend when the assasination video came up she literally said they shot him!!! with utter surprise now just to put this in reference the german exchange student knew more about american history than this girl

OP I think your reaction is totally normal In fact, that is exactly how I feel about most of my peers. Being of that age I have to put up with that bullshit everyday. After a while, you are able to drown it out, like the adults from the Charlie Brown series. Im just glad that I'm going into high school so I can avoid those people.

I once overheard a great conversation between these two idiotic, mothers, I guess they were, they were pretty young looking, but... Their children were wandering off, and touching and grabbing things, typical annoying small child stuff. The morons, weren't paying attention, of course. Too busy gabbing on about nonsense. But then I overheard a conversation where they criticized someone else's parenting, I don't know who, but the fact that they were not watching their kids at all...

Grr, I had to stifle my rage. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I'm not conveying how stupid these two bimbos really sounded, sort of talking with that shallow, condescending tone of voice that just makes you want to hit somebody with the sharp end of a pick-axe. It also doesn't help that I really dislike children, but stil...

1. Stonners talking about getting high, i dont do it, mainly because im not around people that do, if i was in a situation where it was avaliable and that, id try it. But my school (especially my classmates in particular) ere the ones that get high whenever they get, which i dont care about. But im sitting in class and the guys next to me are going: "YO MAN ! Well, duh. I'm commonly made fun of by my friends for being Jewish, which is a race, but I make fun of myself too. I'm just saying that, out of the blue, without any major context and only hearing that small snipit of the conversation, that person comes out as a complete idiot who knows nothing about how racism works. He may have been joking, but I guess I'll never know. That's the issue with overhearing conversations.

Ive heard that getting an abortion fucks you up for weeks.
Try finding a 14 yrold with the ability to understand the severity of it.
this isnt about whether their bodies are capable, its about whether they are emotionally and mentally equipped to understand how fucked things can get if they make a mistake.

Then theres the poor baby who lives with someone who hasnt gotten over thinking about only themselves, dumped on angry grandparents, or raised on welfare because what 14 year old brings in enough income to support one person, nevermind two.

And if i was going to join your world of living with what comes instinctively and naturally and feels good and right, there would be alot more murders. the surprise isnt that we arent allowed to have sex at 14, its that we are allowed before 30.
