I'm gonna call bullshit on this, because people have been calling them out for lazy pokemon games since fucking X/Y and they've only gotten worse since.
Just a thought, but it would be amazing if TPC goes full petty and just blatantly cribs Palworld's best feature: utility for each Pal/Pokemon outside of combat. Some are good at carrying stuff, some can be mounts, a fire type can light fires, a water types can douse it, and so on.

As for how to implement it in a Pokemon game, maybe just scatter a bunch of puzzles and challenges across the overworld. Like, say you can see an item, but you can"t reach it because you don't have a Pokemon strong enough to lift it for you, or whatever other solution. It would give you more reasons to collect Pokemon you won't put in your battle team besides filling the Pokedex, and also just more stuff to do outside of battles.

No cribbing the survival crafting stuff tho. I find that pretty rote and uninspired, a bandwagon-y mechanic for when you just don't have any other better ideas anymore (hence why assets flippers use it so much)

Uhhh... isn't that what the tm:s are for in Pokémon? Like Fly to get to a known location or Cut to remove a tree in the way?

The outdated HM system was already basically this and nobody liked it. Maybe if it was more optional and just there for extra items and secret Pokemon, but even then I don't think it would go over any better now.

If they do something like that it would have to be incorporated as a core mechanic. Something key to gameplay and progression. Hey maybe you could build a farm and put Pokemon on it to work. If only a game had done something like that already....

Hell make a Animal Crossing style mini game or StarDew Valley type of sub game within the core Pokemon experience. If Yakuza can put pokemon collecting and battling into a Yakuza game, then Pokemon can put Animal Crossing into a Pokemon game.

Gamefreak just needs to actually focus on making a game and not another 100 pieces of shit to collect.

Depends on what was made with ai. Nothing ai does without human hands can be copywritten. The prompt used doesn't count. If you make an ai pic then you go over it and fix it up, you only own the parts you fixed. Not sure how it works if you just put a filter over the whole image. So much of this needs to go through the courts, but right now, ai can not get a copywrite on anything by itself.
Someone will eventually try. In a platform full of asset flipping, cloning that game with the exact same creatures is unavoidable if they think they can get away with it because they are AI generated.

Palworld used steal! Its super effective!

But really. I think its great. Pokemon has been taking the piss for ages. Maybe some competition is just what Pokemon needs to bring the spark back.

Man! I got ninja'd...

...anyways. At least the crowd asking Game Freak to make Pokemon darker will be pleased.
Honestly I would be happy with a good game that isn't bug filled and a DLC scam to get most of the Pokemon.
