Paranoia pays for your freedom. It's just a lapse in rational thought really. You can easily counter it by thinking "Wait, don't these people have better things to do than get at me? I think they do... next please!"

It's not paranoia if they're all really out to get you. That's why I'm not paranoid, I know that everyone is plotting against me.

IT WON'T WORK, YOU HEAR ME?!? I'M ONTO YOU!!

I used to get bullied at school, so that's made me really paranoid now. I just have trouble trusting people and it seems really strange to me. Even though for several years now I've had no problems making friends, it still really damages my confidence. I think all my mental problems (never been diagnosed with a mental health condition, I simply think too much and have a really analytical mind to the extent it overpowers the rest of me) probably stem from that lack of confidence and self-belief. Anyway, as I say, yes I am really paranoid.

I'm paranoid about the tiniest things.
Example: If someone says something like...
"I like your hair, it's pretty."
I'll end up thinking-
"No, it's not. You're lying."
I'll 'believe' them, but not really.
Even about emotions. If someone says,
"I'm angry."
I'll think-
"No, you're not. You're overreacting."
And other things.. I get worried if someone's gone an hour more than they should. I'll think of the worst possible thing and freak out over it until they return. (They got in a car crash, they're cheating, blah blah blah...)
Anyways, to the point.
Is this type of thing bad? Is it even paranoia? Do you have a problem like this?
I think that type of thing can end up being very bad depending on the extent you take your thoughts. I don't think it's paranoia so much as anxiety (especially the car crash/cheating thing).

I do have a problem like that, and I should probably go get diagnosed and treated, but I don't want people to love the me-that's-drugged-up as opposed to the me-that's-me-with-flaws.

Advice? Learn to relax and look at things rationally. That's about it.

Thank ye. :3 I'll try to keep it in mind.
I've never considered drugs, especially seeing as I'm afraid of swallowing pills. x/
How bad is your paranoia? I have a friend who has to take anxiety pills. One day she didn't take them and she had to check out because she felt so messed up.

Mine's not too terrible since I've sorta learned to get past it. My friend has it really bad, has to take drugs that relax him and make him happy.

I'm generally good until someone says or does something that is painfully suspicious...And then my mind starts to get bad. People saying things is what sets me off the most, and how other people treat my friends...

Finished with my woman cause she couldn't help me with my mind.
People think I'm insane because I am frowning all the time.

Paranoia is a common thing in this world. I mean, with all of the surveillance possible, wire-tapping, and webcams, you could very well be being observed at every moment of your life. Just remember that it's probably unlikely that you actually are. You're not that important.

I know you read this post.

I can see you now.

Your greasy fingers on the keyboard. You sicken me. See that little dot in the corner of your eye?

Do you want to meet God?

If you saw a red dot, you're paranoid. Congrats!

That freaked me out a bit, but Black Sabbath calmed me. :[

Does scrambling my thoughts whenever I'm public for fear of mind readers make me paranoid, or just crazy?

I have PTSD from the war. I have awoke to strangling my wife.I apparently was asleep and started low crawling very fast off the bed and put my hand though a fan witch I then attacked thinking it was an attack dog when I came to there was blood all over due to multiple cuts, needles to say the fan never worked again , shaved my head in my sleep. and every time I start my car I think that it will blow up.and I know I am being watched by the CIA.
