Parasite Eve Dual Pack Could Horrify PSN

What I don't understand, the ps1 was a JRPG housing juggernaut, but we've only got five or six of the best ps1 JRPG's released on PSN so far. FF7,8, and 9, Suikoden, Wild Arms, and Castlevania (kind of, it was an ARPG made in Japan). Where are Xenogears, Legend of Legaia, Breath of Fire 3 and 4, Suikoden 2, Chrono Cross, Musashi, Legends of Dragoon, Vagrant Story, etc. etc.

Seriously, that's nearly $100 of my money, and I'm positive I missed some greats as well.

The ps1 classics idea is severely underutilized. Someone should be fired for this.

These two games had better come out for America as well! I couldn't play past the start at all in PE1, I was so afraid. I really want to give these two games a true playthrough now.

Niiiice. I used to love parasite eve. I found it very hard, and thought I just sucked, but later learnt that the game was pretty challenging. Never played the second one, I'm gonna have to get this =D

As to Parasite Eve: yeah, why not release something good, Square? Like, I dunno, a full 3d engine version of Secret of Mana?

I agree with you that Parasite Eve isn't good. It's AWESOME and you need to play it again. With your eyes taped open and taking in nutrients and caffeine intravenously.

I hope it comes stateside, I loved the first Parasite Eve. Second one was crap, but the first one had an awesome story, even if it wasn't really "Survival Horror".

EDIT: Oh gods, I forgot that the game takes place in New York. With all the plane-crashings and buildings blowing up or lighting on fire, you think they will change that for Post-9/11? I hope not, but I know how many things have been changed to sooth the emotional sensibilities of the skittish New Yorker.

Silly they can't do that. Square only makes cut scenes these days and Secret of Mana actually had game play.

Giant Rats. Seriously though, it was due to that cutscene that each enemy in the game was made disturbing through the use of familiar silohuettes. Also it used random encounters as a horror mechanic (let's face it, even if you love battles in your favorite RPG, starting them off by cursing after your silent prayers to cross a room without enemies attacking makes them one of the less favorite types of battles in games).
