Parasite Eve Now On PSN

Bah... I saw this article, logged straight onto PSN and it wasn't there... I hate living in England!

Especially as PE2 got released here (which I loved) and we're getting 3rd Birthday. Let us see the whole trilogy!

I do have Parasite Eve 2 on the good old Playstation, and it's awesome.
Don't have the first one though. Turns out we Europeans didn't want it bad enough, so Square politely gave us the middle finger and didn't release it over here.
Maybe it's about time we get it on PSN then?

Hopefully Parasite Eve 2 will be as reasonably priced as this one is. Speaking in biological terms, how can a mitochondria be anything but a mitochondria?

... regardless, ive never played it, but it sounds awsome!

Eve's mitochondria have been "awakened" into their own sentience through genetic experiments. Since mitochondria can feed your cells genetic information the new awakened strain can control its host body any way it wishes. Transforming people and animals into horrific deformed nightmares. They can also increase their processing of oxygen (another function they actually preform) causing the biological processes of the host body to speed out of control until the host bursts into flames.

I love how this game incorporated real science. If the mito could actually be made sentient, which is the only long shot considering they're bacteria, they could do most of the things depicted in the game.

And it's all horrifying.

Serously, that is badass. If the mito can can increase cell metabolism, they can increace ATP (energy) production right. Turning the possesed mutant things, into Super-energetic/strong Mutant things, right? And since they also control over protein senthesis...they also control enzymes? Correct me if im wrong obviously, but as I have prevously stated, that is badass

Sweet. I borrowed this from a friend just because it had 2 discs and was by Square Soft, and I thought it was amazing. Can't really say the same about the second one though...

All I have to say to this is FINALLY! I just recently played through this game again on my PS2 and it has to be one of my favorite games of all time. I'm so glad that I can finally get this on the PSP. HAPPY DAY!

I've not liked one of them since Final Fantasy Tactics on the consoles. I enjoyed Crisis Core and right now Tactics Ogre is incredible but I've not liked their games. Kingdom Hearts and Dissidia may play well but it doesn't change my perception on blatant fanservice and absolute boredom towards the games. And yes, I have played them before you ask.

But you just said you enjoyed Crisis Core. I'm confused.

I've not liked one of them since Final Fantasy Tactics on the consoles. I enjoyed Crisis Core and right now Tactics Ogre is incredible but I've not liked their games. Kingdom Hearts and Dissidia may play well but it doesn't change my perception on blatant fanservice and absolute boredom towards the games. And yes, I have played them before you ask.

But you just said you enjoyed Crisis Core. I'm confused.

So one game out of over 15 games makes that a good thing? I know many people here enjoy the Kingdom Hearts series but all I ever saw was fanservice and a terrible story that tries to make it sound serious. Then Dissidia tries to do the same thing but without disney, the FF series just fell down hill and they stopped making Parasite eve games till recently, even that is up for question considering their choices.

So...by your logic me liking 1 game from them in the past 14 years means they make good games? They made good games, not anymore.

Edit: This is my opinion mind you, if you liked them then that's dandy. Just please don't try and tell me because they made one game that appealed to me recently that I should like them. After all the games that came out I liked 1, and in these games they managed to ruin a port of my favorite game from them horribly.
