i fail to see the point of you making this page longer to load for some people instead of just replying
ot:
1 search and destroy, in other games getting achievements, free for all, rainbow 6 vegas
2. ok thats great for cod but in tactical games where you need to work together could be easily fixed by parties
3. and when one of your friends ends up on the other team or when they die they can easily tell you where they died and tell them where the other team is
4.how about next time you just do this in an normal fashion?
5. so talking to 1 person at a time isnt good enough? well then damn me to hell for i am wrong
6.i fail to see what you mean by part of the issue
7.then play something else because obviously playing games is more important than talking to friends to you
My apologies, I didn't realize it made it so much harder.
1)How do you propose people are using it in SnD? Sure, maybe if they're on opposite teams, but that's hard to engineer, especially if you're in a party. I'm not saying it can't happen, but does it really justify getting rid of the chat on such a level? As for other games, I was aware that we were talking about CoD, as that's the first game I've heard of to even contemplate getting rid of this.
2)Maybe that's true, and parties aren't a one-size-fits-all sort of deal. I know we've already acknowledged that they are bad in Gears of War, and I'll take your word for it on Rainbow Six, but the fact remains that none of
them are getting rid of it, whereas a game where it literally makes 0 sense to get rid of it is.
3)Again, the first one is difficult to engineer, and even then is not a guarantee of success if the other player is remotely competent. To the second part, this game tends to be very fluid. Chances are that the people who killed you will not stay in the same place. If they
do stay in the same play, 9 times out of 10 they have an extremely good position that's hard to attack, immediately lessening the advantage of just knowing where they are
4)Wow, avoiding the issue by making fun of my format. Nice. Since I snipped my post out, I'll just put what that part said as a point of information. I asked "What if I'm playing MW2 and want to talk to friends playing, for example, Borderlands?"
5)No, talking to one person at a time is damn well
not good enough, as I'm regularly in parties with 5 or more people. Besides, although we haven't heard anything about private chats yet, I'd find it hard to believe that they'll leave people able to use that, especially since, by your logic, people could still cheat with that.
6)I was just pointing out that you had a point, we can mute people manually, but that is a hassle.
7)I think you reversed that last part, but yes, I'm planning on not getting this game because Party Chat is that important to me. Obviously, it's not so important to you, so I guess we'll just have to conclude that we're two different people.
