PC/Console gamers.

I am seriously sick and tired of how both console and PC gamers ***** and moan about what is better. They are no better than children and saying how their toy is better than your toy. I understand that people have different opinions but when you get someone who just acts like a PC or Console is GOD's gift to gaming than that person is a serious fanboy/girl or elitist.

It is no better than Narcissism. Just because something is superior does not give that person the right to walk over other people because they own a piece of gaming hardware!

I like both the PC and the Consoles but to some people that is a sin against nature.

Enough of my ranting. What do you The Escapist users think? I would like to know.

its this what he interent is for? honestly I like both I find console gaming more affordable so I go with that and the fact i could not build or afford a good gaming cumputer hinders that area any way

I like pcs for rts and fps i like consold for rpg and puzle they both have thier pros and cons so i like both

Yeah, I'm sick of it too. I generally just skip/skim those kinds of threads/post/comments, nothing interesting too see there.
Unless someone makes a list of games on [insert platform] that succeeded at [insert_topic], it can be useful sometimes

On topic, all I can say is to each his own. Simple as that.

Obviously, the age old belief that shooters play better on a PC comes to mind...And in my opinion they do...

Then you have the RTS, I also know from personal experiences and beliefs that those play better on a PC...I have yet to play Halo Wars but I heard that might start to change some of that

However, those are practically the only genres where a PC has a definitive advantage...I would probably play the other genres more on a console than I would a PC

Well I just thought of another advantage for PC which is mods...Elder Scrolls come to mind...

But everything else always seemed weird without a controller...Also co-op can really be done on a console and I am a real sucker for local co-op...

I love both...I will never give 1 up for the other...

I can't wait for some enterprising company to release a game that comes on all consoles and a PC. That's right, if you want to win the game, you need all the current consoles and a high end PC. Also, it's for an arbitrary piss-you-off-in-the-face reason, not just to take advantage of the various aspects of each console. Each segment is actually available on all consoles, but each box contains a certain combination of the four, with each combination requiring you to play the consoles in the order that the discs came, meaning you're unable to carry over your character to the next segment if you try and cheat by borrowing someone else's segment disc to thwart the multi-system requirement. Also, the game is the single most awesome piece of gaming technology in the history of gaming and cures Lupus.

Sure, it'll be a financial failure and the company will implode the moment it's released, but people like me who have the hardware requirements to play the whole thing will be able to laud it over everyone else, until we find out that the ending of the game requires the use of a Magnavox Odyssey.

i used to be a pc elitist, just because I grew up with games during the time of "pcs are more powerful and have better controls" but that isn't entirely true anymore. the graphics on consoles are on average much better than what I see on PC because the graphics adaptor in the xbox 360 is about three model lines ahead of my computer's.

and ever since I saw the Sony Motion Control demo (which was just an hour ago) I've been geeking about it non stop and can't wait until the day I get to play TF2 using a motion capture stick. it seriously looks more accurate AND more fun than using a mouse, something I never EVER thought I would be saying about playing FPS games on consoles.

I like both as well. I just hate the arguing. It is like Star Trek and Star Wars fans arguing.

If I proclaim I hate console/system wars how will there be a flame war? I am telling them I hate their complaining and moaning. If they don't like the thread they do not have to read it. Instead they feel like I am insulting them and so they have to insult me.

I reckon you could probably build a replica pretty easily using today's technology, although that would add a diabolical real-life challenge aspect to the game.

Back OT, yes, the PC vs Console horse has been beaten to a festering bloody pulp. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. So do consoles vs other consoles.

I prefer consoles, it's a more casual and open experience. I used to love PC gaming as a teenager but if I'm going to invest hours upon hours in a game I just don't want to be doing it in front of my PC. It feels more isolationist and on consoles my wife and I can play together.

TO be honest I don't see what the big deal is; if you like OPC gaming you like it, if you like consoles that's fine if you like both that's FINE! I don't see why people have to ***** about other consoles and stuff. I mean I'm a PS3 fan girl and don't like the x-box but that's not to say i BASH the console in any way; it does have some good games and graphics and the Wii while I find rather childish does have a few good games that make good use for the wii controls.

Like Yahtzee said Ina old OLD review; its all about peopled preferences because its the most balanced console market so far.

All in all; I dont like people arguing about this sorta stuff but its bound to happen anyway becuase some people are jsut tards like that <.<
