controllers are just more comfortable.
That varies from person to person.
Yes. What you said, my mistake.
Good good. If you didn't agree with me I was going to offer to break each of your hands in at least 12 places so when they healed you could experience the fun I have in using controllers. ;)

Which is very silly, because PC Gamers can use those demos a lot more than consoles, as they're often used for, you know, MAKING SURE THE GAME WORKS.

.
These days its not just the PC gamers who have to worry if their games actually work (I'm looking at you, New Vegas and Black Ops)

Well, given that PCs can use controllers and/or the mouse/keyboard...there ya go. I know the PS3 has mouse/keyboard support too, but generally the console itself is placed right near one's giant HDTV, so I imagine that would be a bit of a strain on the eyes.
Well thats not always true but i added in the bit in my post about controller because of another post stating that fps are better on pc and therefore should be expected for them to be on pc. I assumed someone drew that conclusion because of the keyboard and mouse.

AHHH, i figured it was something like that for some reason... I would be wrong to say that its the best option for everyone, or that its just better.

My bro-in-law can't use controllers comfortably because of his giant steam-shovel hands. Some musicians I know hate controllers (mostly pianists) because they find the grip unnatural and the way you use them goes against how they've trained their fingers to work at their most flexible.

Of course, I also know several artists who say both are shit, long live graphic tablets.

I've actually never thought about any of that. I have a friend that plays every string instrument he can get his hands on and he plays games on pc and 360. I think controllers don't really have negative affects for most guitar/bass players, because i know a few. It doesn't do much to undermine what they practice, but i don't know many pianists. I'll have to ask a few artist about that though.

OH and your brother in law must have some REALLY big hands.

It's more critical for PC gamers, though. I was saved by the Batman AA demo when I found out that the entire .NET framework curled up and exploded every time I tried to run it (getting a new motherboard fixed the problem, though).

I'd get mad, but I'm white enough to own all of the current gen consoles as well as my gaming PC. Demo the console version, buy the pc version. My plan is flawless.

To the PC only guys: Just get a console already. There's some really good shit over on the other side AND all of a sudden you get to play all those demos.
I'm as white as the driven snow, but I still can't afford a console. I can barely afford my classes and food right now.

Also, your plan is not flawless (see my above post).

Step 1. Make a piss poor port of Bullet Storm that requires a frankly ludicrous level of hardware to run.

Step 2. Bribe Websites to say these requirements are "surprisingly lenient"

Step 3. Don't release a demo and laugh as dozens of people buy a game they have no hope of running since they don't really understand PC specs but if they can run the most impressive PC game out there on high settings surely that's good enough to run a "surprisingly lenient" game.
...

Either you're trolling, or you need to upgrade your computer. Bulletstorm's minimum specs is comparable (and slightly lower in some respects) to Mass Effect 2's and Borderlands, and I didn't here any QQing about those being crappy ports.
Err yes, Bulletstorms minimum requirements are somewhat lower than Mass Effect 2's recommended requirements, though they are a fair bit higher than Borderlands recommended requirements but that's somewhat of a disingenuous comparison. You could run Mass Effect 2 and Borderlands simultaneously better than you could run Bulletstorm going off the recommended requirements.

And how come everyone is falling back to the old "you need to upgrade your PC every 18 months, or spend $2,000 on a system" standby these days? What happened to PC games running decently on 3-4 year old mid-range systems (e.g. Mass Effect 2, Borderlands)

Don't even care. The game looks a bit silly, and quite frankly, a bit too homoerotic for my tastes.

They should make it for mac and not for pc just because mac is so much better! It'd be so funny.

It is stuff like this which made me buy a console. I got tired of being ignored/no demos/given second class service as a PC gamer.

To be honest, I couldn't be happier with the decision as it's nice to own a console again even though it took me a year to decide that I wanted to buy one, and then another six months to convince myself I could afford it.

Unless it ends up as one of those games where the PC version is a shitty port. That would be a substantial flaw, IMO.
Thankfully my computer has the capability to completely overpower most bad port issues. 4.0ghz i7-920: Gets shit done.
