Title says it all. I'm looking for some PC games to play, here's the thing, when I see these types of thread I always here the same games over and over again. I guess people fail to realize that the games they tend to list are the most popular games and anyone not living under a rock knows about these games. I already know I can play the Elder Scrolls game, Just Case 2, GTAIV, any Lionhead game for PC, any Bioware game, any Valve game, any Maxis game, even games like Homeworld, Alice, the Tom Clancy universe, the Battlefield games and all the other popular titles you'll see pasted on the usual gaming sites. Hopefully, you get my point.

What I am looking for are games that are a bit under the radar. I don't care what genre, be it RPG, FPS, RTS, Adventure, and so on. I'm sure a few of you have that hidden jewel I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance.

-EDIT-

Figured I'd start making a list for anyone looking for games out of the usual. I'll add them as they come.

The List:
Armed and Dangerous
Giants: Citizen Kabuto
Privateer
Hidden And Dangerous 2
Sniper Elite
Red Orchestra
Men of War
Hearts of Iron

SWAT 4
Age of Wonders
Disciples
Deus Ex
Audiosurf
Freelancer
Track Mania
Haegemonia: Legions of Iron
Sam & Max
Mafia
Mechwarrior 3 & 4
King's Bounty: Armored Princess
King's Bounty: The Legend
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Sacrifice

I'd say System Shock 2, partially because I recently bought it and am very much enjoying it, and also because it is not a hugely well known game among "this generation". Hell, I was playing games when it was released and even I knew nothing about it until a couple of years ago.

Also, Aliens Versus Predator 2. Kind of forgotten now that the new one wasn't called Aliens Versus Predator 3, but it's easily the best of the series. Incredibly, incredibly tense.
Agreed. It was a fantastic game, and a real pity they decided to ignore everything good about it for the newest in the series.

Red Orchestra, Men of War, Hearts of Iron, Rush to Berlin, The Total War Series, Killing floor and Shattered Horizon is nice too from the Free trail of the entire game i played today.

Hell look up Tripwire Interactive

Steam can probably be your friend here in helping expand you Horizons in gaming, it got me into Indie games.

AvP2, Red Orchestra, Hidden and Dangerous 2, Planescape Torment and Sniper Elite I own/played. I haven't heard of Privateer I'll be sure to give that a try.

Mount and Blade, I've seen around here and there. I have been a bit hesitant to try it since people seem split on it, but since you mention its a lot better once modded I'll be sure to give it a try. The Close Combats I'll also look into.

A bit old school, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, very funny game.
I got that on PS2 that game was Awesome.
OT: Trines good if you want a Puzzle/Rpg/2.5D game Rise of nations rise of legend is a good RTS game not well known though or you could go for a slightly old one such as Baulders gate 1 and 2 or alternitivly if you like making movies try the game The movies.

SWAT 4 was a lot of fun.
Also if you haven't played X-COM: UFO Defense you need to.

edit: You could also try Trine, it's an indie game.
World of Goo and Aquaria are also great indie games.

Company of Heroes was Relic, but it's amazing.
Ironically, The Last Remnant is great on PC (YOU NEED A CONTROLLER THOUGH, DON'T EVEN TRY TO PLAY THIS THING WITHOUT ONE) and fucking awful on consoles. It is actually a pretty fun JRPG if you like that style.

Torchlight is a great Diablo 2 clone with tons of mods.

Oh yeah, you might want to try the quote function when replying to people. It's at the bottom right of the post.

As you will surely see, you get a message when quoted. Keeps the convo flowing.

Thanks for the heads up.

I've played most of the Total War series. Killing Floor and Shattered Horizons I've been a little hesitant on trying out, but will give them a try. X3:Reunion is another game I've seen before but never really tried, I'll be sure to now.

Thrine, The Movies, and the Baulder's Gate / Icewind Dale games I own and have played. Rollercoaster Tycoon, actually now that I think about it, I haven't played at all.

Also, I'll look into Tripwire Interactive.

There's an awesome RTS / RPG game I played years ago, the name slips my mind at the moment. All I remember is that you could play as Demons... May not help much, perhaps someone here remembers the name...

Before you say Dungeon Siege 1 / 2 it isn't.

This was a strategy game, but the combat was turn based like an RPG, your guys could then level up etc...

I wish I could remember it...

Rum doesn't help =(

Age of Wonders? Disciples? Um, Heroes of Might and Magic?

THANK YOU!

Disciples II is the one I played! I lost HOURS to it. I'm going to have to get that again.

Thanks again!

Manditory recommendation of Audiosurf goes here. Especially if you have a collection of fast pased music. Plus, TrackMania. At the very least download Nations Forever, it's a fun free racer and gives you a good idea of what the full game is like. It includes a fully-featured track editor and online play with United owners (but only on Nations servers, obviously). If you like that, then do invest in United Forever. It gives you a hell of a lot more for your money, and is well worth it in my opinion. Do note that *I think* the Steam version is several patches behind and is without the recent community expansion pack. Or the 3D glasses (obviously).
