Recently I've been wanting to play some JRPG's, but because of a lack of a TV to play my 360 on, I only have a PC at the moment. It can run any game that has come out at max settings, so hardware taxation isn't an issue.
So, does anyone know of any good PC JRPG's?

The only PC Jrpg I can honestly think of is the Last Remnant and I wouldn't exactly say it's good...<.<

Unfortunately PC jRPGs are a rare breed. Other than the limited offerings on Steam like Recettear or The Last Remnant, you are going to find very, very little. The majority of Japanese PC games are date sims or MMOs that rarely leave the country.

You might just be better buying a DS or PSP if you lack a TV, since then at least you'd get your pick of bargain priced Atlus/NIS games. Or buy a cheapo TV and a PS2, since the XBox 360 in itself is not a great jRPG platform anyway.

Edit: I forgot that Sega had released a huge pack of their retro games on Steam. GET SHINING FORCE.

Well, I have a DS and A PS2 but I've played all of the mainstream games on them that are good.

And I'll look into Shining force.

It's not from Japan, but it's very much a JRPG:
Last Scenario.
It's also freeware. The idea behind it is to set up the most cliche plot imaginable... then deconstruct it piece by piece.
The game is also a lot of fun, with a unique magic system and challenging boss fights.

There really aren't that many.
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale is a damn good one, I think Grtandia 2 got a port, but ?I've heard it's kinda buggy.
There's also Utawarerumono, it was origionally meant to be porn but it got a clean version, it's a turn based strategy RPG and the story is told much like a visual novel, it's best point is probably there's a kemonomimi that rides a giant tiger in to battle.

Apart from that, I'd reccomend grabbing a DS or a PSP, they have a pretty decent JRPG selection.

Can't think of anything that was good and released in last few years.

Grandia 2 is excelent JRPG, though its atleast 6+ years old, so dont expect shiny graphics, though art design is fairly nice imo.

You are in luck.

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale

http://www.carpefulgur.com/recettear/

It's a little different from a standard JRPG, and the dungeons are realtime and not turnbased, but I found the game to be utterly charming, occasionally funny, and definitely fun. It's PC only, so you can lord that over your console playing friends (seeing as, to my knowledge and in my opinion, there are NO good JRPGs for current gen systems other than Disgaia 3).

The premise is that in a typical fantasy JRPG world you have to run a typical item shop, so there is an economic side to the game. However, relatively early on you can start exploring dungeons with different hero characters that all have different attacks and special moves.

I really liked this game and put in probably 25 hours in 2 days. Then my PC broke, I replaced it with an awesome one, and now I'm drowning in crappy new FPSes. This was the best JRPG I played this year (except for Mother 3 on GBA, 1/2 Minute Hero on PSP, and something on the DS, I forget what).

Hmm... Final Fantasy VII and VIII were released on PC a long time ago, but I don't think you could find a copy very easily.

Recettear is, of course, great.

The only true PC RPGs I can think of right now are throwbacks to old NES RPGs, and I don't think that's what you're looking for, sorry.

Here. Download it, and try it out. As I said before, it's freeware, so you've got nothing to lose.

Wow wow WOW!

You have a DS and a PS2, which are two of the three consoles that have the most JRPG's on them (the third one would be the SNES) and you say you've played ALL the good ones there are? I must say, good sir, that I find such a statement hard to believe!

Every decent FF-title? Every decent thing Altus ever delivered, from Lucifer's Call to Persona, from Digital Devil Saga to Devil Survivor? The 'Tales of' games? Golden Sun and Dragon Quest? Odin Sphere and Grim Grimoire? Valkyrie Profile and Jade Coccoon? Dark Chronicle and Rogue Galaxy? Star Ocean and Grandia? Radiant Historia and Etrian Odyssey? Chrono Trigger and The World Ends With You? Arc and Xenosaga? Or even old and forgotten, but nonetheless unique and enjoyable titles like Legaia and Breath of Fire. And Shadow Hearts, dear God tell me that if you say you've played all good JRPG's on the PS2, you at least played the first two Shadow Hearts games!

Otherwise, the only JRPG's for PC I know, are Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII and Grandia II. And The Last Remnant, I suppose... Maybe you could try Sudeki, but it only looks like a JRPG - it's developed by a British team and plays more like an action game.

While not Japanese, here [http://www.frostclick.com/wp/index.php/2010/11/03/the-spirit-engine-2-near-perfect-rpg-game/]'s one that resembles it in style, and is excellent. Freeware, too.

But yes, PC JRPGs are rare. Mostly because Japan isn't big on PC games in any genre.

any chance you have an hdmi pc screen? I do, and if you do you could play your 360 on that if you wanted to.
The only ones I really know of would be Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII, but they're incredibly hard to get hold of and also the last remnant which wasn't very good on pc.

ZOMGWUT? DO THIS!

Disclaimer: Shining Force isn't exactly a JRPG, it's basically Fire Emblem, except more fun and party members can be revived.

The translated ROM of Mother 3.

Battle of Wesnoth is also there. It's some what of a Fire Emblem clone.
