I've been looking towards getting a new gaming PC, and a friend of mine suggested a build, how is it? (putting into account that I'm looking for Witcher 2 on at least mid):

I've never had any experience with AMD processors, so I can't comment on that. I will say that if you're gaming, go for an Intel processor. This is because Intel processors are better suited for single threaded tasks, like gaming, whereas AMD is better for multi-threaded tasks, like video editing. But so far, it seems to be a good budget build.

And what graphics card are you planning to use? You seem to have left that out, so I just wanted to ask if you've decided on one. :)

It was a friend of mine who put this together, secondly, he claims the integrated graphics in the CPU should be good enough (says it's the one that's gonna be used in the PS4).

No,no,no,no,no,no! Never use integrated graphics. Always buy a discrete graphics card.

Hence why I haven't bought it despite it falling within my current savings.

You should as a minimum buy a HD 7850 or a GTX 650. They will allow you to run every game at mid/high settings

with the APU on the A10 you're looking at around 30 fps at mid at 1280x800 in witcher 2. That's not that bad considering that game is resource hogging as hell. the 2133 memory will definitely help. all in all not a bad build

Well it's AMD APU so it's not your average integrated graphics.
You can always add a ~65$ 6670 for crossfire.

Sure but a crossfire system with two crap graphics cards isn't really the smartest decision. Having just one good card would be better

I currently have somewhere over $500 (putting into account that $100 reserved for the tiger direct flat rate to transfer my data over, somewhere over $400). My target is 600-800 before the $100 reservation.

In that case

CPU: AMD FX 6200 6-Core Processor
GPU: HIS Radeon HD7850 2GB
Mobo: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 Motherboard
PSU: Corsair CX-600 V3 Power Supply
RAM: Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003
CPU Cooling: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
Case: NZXT Source 210 Black with Window

Total cost is around 700 dollars. That depends on prices where you live though.
