Eldarwen - 18 AP, 1 MP
Ailish, who had helped her with the garden, came begging her for help with creating a gate to the heavens. She believed that being indebted to any of these gods was bad, at least until she found out who would be allies and enemies, so she spun her staff around and two trees formed a circle. She put a spell on it, one to stop whatever stepped through the portal from causing any harm to her garden.
"Ask and you shall receive."
Seith was wrong and she did not like him. Eldarwen left without another word aimed at him and began moving through the garden. Another god exclaimed that he would create a place of entertainment, and she moved a few trees for him to work with, not in a way that harmed the trees, but rather so his place would become overgrown and have a true sense of beauty and happiness.
The oversized rock which they called a planet caught her attention. It was possible for her to create forests on it, but why should she? It was one planet in a void with one star. How could that be considered worth wasting her precious plants on? No, it was not. They needed more planets.
The garden seemed to go on forever, and just outside of it was emptiness. It was then that it struck her, a brilliant idea, one who would solve her problems. The mortals the other gods created in their vain attempts to bring life to the planet would never be able to consume all of it. The lone star would stop burning and kill them all before it happened. She would remain, with the garden, and have the chance to do it all again. The other gods had created one planet, and now they wanted her to create a forest for their creations. Apparently, the one they were already standing in, was not enough to satisfy their greed. She did not care if she spent the rest of eternity in this garden, without ever using her powers again. The monotony of such an existence was preferable to the evolution of abominations who would destroy her children.
"Do you want forests!?" She screamed at the void with her arms stretched out, but was certain it could be heard throughout the entire garden as well. "I will give you forests!"
Eldarwen took a firm grip around her staff with both hands, before ramming it into the ground. The Tranquiline Gardens shook, violently, as if threatening to break from the impact her staff had on it and undo all the gods' hard work. The eyes of the treemother burned brightly, what had just been a faint blue spark a moment ago, was now a raging inferno as she poured all of the magic she could bring forth into her staff.
The shaking of the garden grew into an earthquake, as pieces of the garden plane broke lose and floated up into the air. The glow in her eyes had begun to engulf her body, as if she was trying to outshine the star itself. The blue fire surrounding the Queen of Nature, spread towards the pieces of her beloved garden, creating strings of magic between the source and them. They began growing rapidly.
Eldarwen raised her staff above her head. "Thus the queen maimed her firstborn, to set budding more." When she spoke sparks were thrown at the void from her mouth, as if she was spitting magic. The shaking had stopped, but above the garden several large platforms were suspended.
The original pieces had been torn away from her first creation, but these would become more than that. They would become her victory over mortals. Why should she have to fear creatures that had not entered this existence yet? They would fear her, not the other way around. Perhaps they would think that cutting trees down would be tolerated, and certainly the other gods would prevent her from exterminating any race that as much as tried, but this would be more than they could handle. Especially with the treemother around.
She only needed to throw them into the void, and watch life evolve. Her own race would benefit greatly from this, no doubt about it. The kami would be proud of her, for all of her life as their princess she had never been given the opportunity to do as much for nature, as she now did in one blow.
"Eld." The staff was swung, sending one of the platforms away from its origin, and she watched as the second born traveled through the void and grew until it became planet sized. "Arwen." The next platform moved in the opposite direction, but growing all the same into a planet. "Shizen." The third left the nest and flew away from home, to fulfill its purpose.
Those would be the three first planets, and the only ones she would name, for surely the discoverer of the remaining ones, could name them for her. It was a joy she would grant them, as she lacked the creativity to think of names for them all.
There were still many platforms hanging above the garden. None of the structures of the gods had taken any damage, but she had not intended them to either.
"Season of darkness and fruitlessness, be gone, henceforth I will be the gardener of this universe. The guardian of the fauna, when the beasts whistles for aid in their moment of destruction, I shall be there. The champion of the spirits in my own realm, come corruption, come fire, come evolution, I will not falter."
So it was said and so it would be, until the cycle had to begin anew. With a final push, she sent them all flying into the void. The planets of this universe would all have an abundance of forests and plants. They needed sunlight to grow, but once they started to grow there would be no stopping them. Technology be damned.
Eldarwen fell forward, and landed in the lovable grass. The holes left after the creation of celestial bodies, were filled with dirt and mud, but at least she could fill them with new life.
