Eldarwen - 18 AP, 1 MP.

Eldarwen remained in the grass with her eyes shut, it was comfortable, a feeling of reminiscence. Seith had given her some kind of gift, and she had felt his influence on her creation. "Thank you..."

There were two other gods who had chosen to help her as well, by adding a natural end to all life to make way for new, and given nature her chaotic charateristic.

"Are you all right?"

She opened her eyes and saw Zareth standing there.

"I am but fine."

Suddenly, the darkness was lit up by stars, one of the other gods seemed angered by her creation of the planets and was trying to outdo her. She didn't care about who did the most spectacular creation, and the stars were necessary for her plants to grow, as they would give sunlight to them. She aided him, to create the vital connection between life on her planets and the suns. The trees would benefit even more this time from sunlight, than they had before.

"I did not mean to insult you, fellow creator." She told Nivix, then turned to Zareth. "Could you help him too, for me?"

Pentar 22AP 2MP
"Pentar...do you realize what you have created here? These beings though lawful, are of an evil nature! Damn it, they will seek to spread tyranny, not justice! Is this what you had intended? If it is I need to discuss something with you, if not then perhaps I can aid you in removing these...creatures."

"I object to that out of hand. You wish to destroy these creatures simply because they don't fit into your idea of being. Pentar, if you wish nothing to do with these creatures let me take them. I would put them to use in my service and look after them. Likely it's more than you would have done with them anyway."

"Both of you be quiet." Pentar commanded of the other gods. "Don't either of you forget that you are in my hall, however twisted it may be." He gestured towards the red skinned beings. "They are my creations, and I will not destroy them, let alone give them to another." He turned again to the individual before him. "Now I ask again, creature: what are you?"

M'endaxius - 27/30 AP, 2/2 MP

M'endar nodded as Zareth introduced himself and fled out of the room. It was puzzled, had it done something wrong? But M'endar shrugged those thoughts away while the newly-introduced Melanthios talked of alliances and defending oneself against the fury of the other gods. But all M'endar could think about during that segment of the speech was its own brother and his acts. M'endar simply smiled at the thought of... No, that would be telling. But all in all, he seemed like a good idea to get other gods on side and not be simply an outcast in the grand scheme of things. Then Melanthios threw the cloak off, to reveal a being made of dark magic, the candles roared as the cloak landed somewhere on the library floor and Melanthios' voice grew more excited.

"...I am Melanthios the god of magic and wisdom. And I offer you an alliance, if we work together we could achieve anything we want. With the 3 of us nobody will be able to stop us. So what do you say M'endar? Do you want to work with me? Do you want to rule this universe together, as friends? No as Brothers?"

And so M'endar was reminded of its own brother yet again. The one that would oppose him on anything and everything without rhyme or reason as to why. At least now he had another who would refrain from the tiresome game of antagonism. But, M'endar sensed something just then, a feeling that something was being created. No, a multitude of things. Stars. But they lacked something, something crucial within. M'endar shrugged that feeling off as well. Now was not the time, and the other being of chaos could help in its stead. Now, in the time of beginnings, was the time for the beginning of something. An alliance that would surely be spoken about for years to come. Especially of the future feats that awaited them.

M'endar shook the outstretched hand, "Of course, brother." Then it pulled back its hood, revealing an ever-changing face. One second it was a young girl, then an old man, then something completely alien. "As for me, I am anyone you wish me to be."

Zareth 30,2

The planets were completed. They hung in the void like emeralds, their surfaces covered in lush forests. Certainly an improvement on their predecessor world. All the while Nivix was ranting and raving about not being outdone.

"Could you help him too, for me?"

Well how could he refuse such a charming request. Zareth's own power was still radiating around him and it was an easy thing to send it out to quench the spreading fires of the growing stars. Stopping them from engulfing the nearby planets. An end to all things. The voice inside him rang out again. As his own power flowed out and touched each of the stars he felt them alter. They will all end one day, because of you the darkness will overtake them. Your place is not here among creation.

The last part sent Zareth's flowing form rippling like a storm. It took him great effort to suppress it. "Excuse me." he said to Eldarwen as he faded out of view and back into the library between the two dark gods, taking a seat by the fireside. "My apologies, something outside demanded my attention. The two of you may be interested in the change of view." He tightened his grip on the arm rests of his chair. The words from his creator voice would not leave him.

The two gods had revealed their true forms. Dark, flowing, ever changing. Was this another way he differed from the others. They had all settled on a form to define themselves, yet his form was little more than an ethereal mist and even that felt foreign to him. He was faceless and was yet to make any mark of his own. The echoes of his creator told him that his place in life was to be as life's opposite. To be a destroyer. Well he was determined to prove it wrong.

"I have a favour to ask of the two of you. I wish to be a creator, I was hoping you would help me."

Seith 23 Ap, 2 MP

This was wrong, all wrong. Seith could see little worth doing however, he felt as if something dark was going on, a later assault that would end in darkness. He needed allies and Pentar wasn't worth conversing with. Seith spoke and left, saying "As long as you direct a conversation towards me, I will be able to hear, I must go now Pentar, tell me more about the creatures when you can." There wasn't enough time but he hoped there would be another alliance worth forging with the plant lady and perhaps the scientist and the new goddess, maybe the dramatist and the prankster as well. He sent them all his voice.

"Friends, I can feel we can work together in the future. Our goals seem to coincide with either enlightenment, discovery or simply improving the lives of our creations. I feel that if we work together we could help to preserve them. Meet in my observatory as soon as possible."

In order to help ensure his fellow god's aid, he decided to help Nivix with the stars. Seith raised his hand towards them, glowing brightly he made all of the stars glow quite a bit brighter, though no hotter, they instead had the same glow of enlightenment Seith possessed. Thus anyone standing in their light would feel a glow of happiness, of easier learning, of balance and of peace. Lying within the light of these stars would prove difficult if not impossible for a mortal. Just as Seith intended. Thus, he returned to his observatory.

He couldn't find his brother anywhere, at least it would be difficult to, he wondered where he was. Seith needed to talk to him soon.

Seith is making a large contribution to the stars as well +6 change and +6 enlightenment. Mortals within the light of these stars will find it difficult to lie, easier to spread knowledge and the stars also glow a bit brighter too.

On top of that, he has sent a request to Eldawren, Roe, Nivix, Ailish, Maskelyne, Melanthios and Zareth to meet in his observatory.

Ailish - 2, 30

"Ask and you shall receive."

Relief and gratitude washed over Ailish upon hearing those words. Her conscience felt cleared and the goddess could carry on.

"Thank you."

Her instinct told Ailish to return to Roe and tell him the good news?

"GO FORTH, GO FORTH AND BRING LIGHT TO THIS DARKNESS! SHOWER ALL OF REALITY WITH YOUR BRILLIANCE AND WARMTH! LET NOT EVEN A SCRAP OF BLACKNESS REMAIN!"

By that declaration her gaze refocused on where it came from. From endless green she found a shining beacon illuminating many colorful spheres, each sparkled like a gem of a hundred facets. The goddess felt in awe of the sight and searched for the one or ones who made this. A new idea sparked into her head. Eventually she came upon a figure that was shrouded in red and blue - possibly the creator of these things.

"I beg for your blessing. As great and wonderful these things are, the heavens are still closed to us. Would you help us please? I would be grateful if you could lend us your strength to forge that gateway... I must be going."

Leaving back to the forest where she believed Roe, Ailish could only hope he would agree. It took quite some time to renavigate herself back in the garden, but she did find herself back with Roe.

"Roe, we have recieved her blessing. We can open the gate now without fear."

Melanthios 23AP, 2MP

M'endar shook the outstretched hand "Of course, brother." Then it pulled back its hood, revealing an ever-changing face. "As for me, I am anyone you wish me to be." Melanthios smiled. He had hoped for this result. "Well I don't care much about how you look. As long as we are allies you can look whatever you want. But the only thing you can't look like is me. I don't care much for copy cats."

Suddenly Zareth appeared again. "My apologies, something outside demanded my attention. The two of you may be interested in the change of view." He looked a bit distressed. "I have a favor to ask of the two of you. I wish to be a creator, I was hoping you would help me." Melanthios smiled. "But of course brother. Now that you mention it I could use your help creating something." Melanthios stood up. "But first would you like to join an alliance? The 3 of us would make one hell of a team. And we could support each other, by helping each other to create things and such. Think it over, I will be right back." Melanthios turned around and began to walk away.

Melanthios walked into a hallway, he grabbed a book and opened it. It was titled Dues Filli. Melanthios smiled happily as he walked back to the 2 other gods. "This is the project I was talking about." He showed them both the book. It was a large green book, it seemed to have many written pages inside it. Melanthios placed his hand on the book "This book is about the ideal race, my ideal race. I wish to create these creatures and give them a place to call home. After that I want to lead them to knowledge and prosperity. So would you both be interested in helping me? I mean that would be the perfect opportunity, to show people that you aren't a destroyer Zareth." Melanthios looked at both gods, Trying to see what they thought of his idea.

Vantric: 23,2

Seith vanished after a sharp response from Pentar. Vantric glared at the spot he occupied a moment beforehand, Seith would need to be dealt with. That was a concern for a later time though, and he turned back to Pentar. The god of order seemed once more to immerse himself in conversation with his lesser monster. Vantric shrugged and made for the door. From the sound of things, something interesting was happening outside.

Vantric exited the Court and immediately threw a hand to his face. It was bright, brighter than it had been before, and considerably. After a moment his eyes adjusted and he looked to what was producing the light. He spotted them immediately. Pinpoints of light canvassing the endless darkness of existence. There were other things too, he could see spots, scattered around the lights. Wait...No, they weren't spots, they were planets. Vantric was shocked. It seemed the creation of existence had begun without him. He looked around, curious as to where the others had gone off to.

It seemed that Melanthios's library was attracting some attention, and Vantric hadn't yet evaluated some of the others. He made his way over there and knocked on the door. "Melanthios, are you in there? I'd like to come in and speak with you."

Roe 26, 1

Roe had been lying on his back watching the firework show of creation and so didn't notice Ailish until she was right by him.

"Roe, we have recieved her blessing. We can open the gate now without fear." she suddenly said from behind him.

He leapt up and brushed the grass off his flaming body, standing almost to attention for a short moment before his innate energy got the better of him and he started bouncing around the other god in a circle.

"That's good, let's open the portal now, I want to see what happens!" Roe replied, halting in front of Ailish. They made their together towards the grove Ailish had just visited, Roe running ahead through the trees and then back again when he could no longer see her. Eventually they made it to a clearing straddled by two enormous trees which towered far above any others nearby.

"This has to be the place!" Roe exclaimed aloud.

After his experience with the forest planets he thought he had an inkling of what to do. He concentrated his being, his chaos, upon the empty space around him, bending the units of nothingness into extra-dimensional shapes so that the normal law of cause and effect no longer applied. A black sphere materialised between the two trees which Eldarwen had designed for the portal and grew at an astonishing rate, within a few seconds it was already larger than Roe's head.

"What do we do now?" he yelped and stumbled back towards Ailish, he wasn't sure where she intended the portal to open at the other end.

Zareth 30,2

Zareth listened to what the other god had to say, taking a moment to think while Melanthios was away searching for a new book. He had called him brother. That had brought a warmth to the grey god's heart. To think that someone regarded him in such a way. It felt right to think of the others that way. After all were they not all born at the same time? In the same manner? He could not say if they had the same parent but right now they were all each other had and to him that constituted a family. If not of blood then of bond.

Melanthios returned, it looked as if he had found what he was looking for.

"This book is about the ideal race, my ideal race. I wish to create these creatures and give them a place to call home. After that I want to lead them to knowledge and prosperity. So would you both be interested in helping me? I mean that would be the perfect opportunity, to show people that you aren't a destroyer Zareth."

Zareth had't said anything about his fears and he hadn't destroyed anything, not yet, not that he knew of. How could he know what he was thinking? Even without a face, am I so easy to read? Still he couldn't deny that what Melanthios had found was exactly what he was looking for. He was about to say something when another voice rang out in his mind.

"Friends, I can feel we can work together in the future. Our goals seem to coincide with either enlightenment, discovery or simply improving the lives of our creations. I feel that if we work together we could help to preserve them. Meet in my observatory as soon as possible."

I'm very popular all of a sudden. Seith's offer was a pleasant one and right in line with what Zareth was looking to do, but Melanthios had made it first. He would not shun an offer of friendship and allies so hurriedly. He could speak with Seith later.

With his mind made up Zareth reached out and lay his hand across the text. "I am with you. Give the spark and I shall give it breath to become a flame. May their days be long and bright."

Ailish - 2, 30

"What do we do now?"

She could feel the magic coursing in the grove, and never had Ailish felt more hopeful. The only thing left was to create one final anchor, which she had - the amethyst tear she shed would lock onto the heavens or at the very least to him. The hard part of course would be in casting the anchor once the portal opens; anything could get sucked in, and in the worst case the gateway could lead into another soul let alone a different plane... On second thought, the goddess wondered if the tear may lead to the wrong area entirely.

Well only one way to find out. Wait... how did she know all this?

"We have done all we can, Roe. For now." she said, her face serene from the progress. "We will need to keep a distance away from the gate once it opens."

M'endaxius - 27/30 AP, 2/2 MP

M'endar enrobed itself when Melanthios pitched the idea. His ideal race, full of magic, full of knowledge... Much more impressive than the simple blobs it had tried to create. This would be a tricky feat indeed. But not one out of grasp for one within an alliance. M'endar would help him and Melanthios would hopefully help M'endar. It walked over to the balcony and watched the stars take form. There would be light of enlightenment within, it seemed that Seith was intent on driving every mortal mad with raving revelations. It held its hand out, as if to grasp some of the stars.

Best to give what was missing, the stars were altogether too ordered. Not like the original star, Niv, before it. M'endar remedied this by channeling its essence into the stats, the essence of Chaos. The cloak of chaos would protect the mortal mind from going insane. After all, finding out that you are all is a being created by a god for the sake of being a pawn in a power play is a very harsh truth indeed. But he would find something to counter that soon enough...

M'endar looked among the two allies, they seemed to be listening to something, though the message was not intended for M'endar's ears, apparently. Probably just another announcement from another god to the others. It sighed, ignoring the knock on the library door and did as Zareth was doing, and placed his hands on the green book. New text appeared as M'endar gave his silent blessing. Clever race, crafty race, chaotic race... My blessing will give you the ability to fool others. It was done. Now to concentrate on other matters. Matter involving the newcomer at the door.

Melanthios 23AP, 2MP

"Friends, I can feel we can work together in the future. Our goals seem to coincide with either enlightenment, discovery or simply improving the lives of our creations. I feel that if we work together we could help to preserve them. Meet in my observatory as soon as possible." Friends? Seith was no friend of Melanthios. The way he tried to control everyone was not something that Melanthios appreciated. Loyalty should be earned with respect, not mind tricks.

Zareth spoke"I am with you. Give the spark and I shall give it breath to become a flame. May their days be long and bright."Melanthios smiled brightly. "I appreciate your help brother. And I am happy that I spoke to the both of you. Our alliance will be legendary." Melanthios was interrupted, by someone knocking on the door. Melanthios turned around looking surprised, who would want to visit him? "Melanthios, are you in there? I'd like to come in and speak with you." It was the voice of Vantric.

Melanthios wondered what he would want here. Maybe he was looking for allies? Melanthios turned to his two brothers. "It seems like we have a guest." Melanthios placed the book in a bookshelf, making sure that it was hidden. He also grabbed his robe, wrapping it around himself. He then walked over to the door, opened it and looked at Vantric. "Greetings Vantric, please come in." Melanthios opened the door further, giving Vantric enough space to enter.

Nivix - 19, 1

Nivix panted as he watched the new stars dance across the cosmos; it would still be a few moments before he knew if they would form properly, but at this point all he could was hope. He had given them the proper distribution of elements and the spark to fully ignite, but there were still ways things could go horribly wrong...

But he didn't want to focus on that, not now. No, there was something else far more important to focus on: these were not his stars.

Sure, he was the one who had started them, who had conjured forth their forms and sent them into the void, but there was no way to miss or ignore the influence the other gods had exerted upon them. A part of him wanted to curse and belittle them for daring to interfere with his creation, for attempting to exert even the slightest amount of control over his glorious vision. But, at the same time, he was forced to acknowledge that, without their help, he very well could have failed.

There was no denying that this action had drained him far more than the birth of Niv, and Nivix knew that there was the very real possibility of failure this time around. Thanks to the others' interference, success was utterly and totally assured.

Sighing, the god fell backwards, allowing himself to recline in midair. How should he react to this? Rage at their audacity? Thank them for their aid? A mixture of the two? So many options, each with their own positive and negative aspects; how could he be expected to choose just one of them?

Then, a voice through the void. "I did not mean to insult you, fellow creator." Grumbling something unintelligible, Nivix eventually managed a noncommittal grunt in response. Eldarwen had, unintentionally or not, threatened to overshadow his creation, something that he could not forgive. On the other hand, her service was quite appreciated. And besides, there was always the chance that he could find some interesting use for her planets. Who knew, maybe the goddess wasn't too bad after all.

"Friends, I can feel we can work together in the future. Our goals seem to coincide with either enlightenment, discovery or simply improving the lives of our creations. I feel that if we work together we could help to preserve them. Meet in my observatory as soon as possible."

This one had also altered the stars with his power. And again, Nivix found that he was both grateful and angered by such an action. Hmph. Well, there was no reason to outright deny Seith his cooperation; perhaps the god would be able to offer some distraction or other.

With nothing better presenting itself, Nivix began to move towards the observatory, when suddenly: "I beg for your blessing. As great and wonderful these things are, the heavens are still closed to us. Would you help us please? I would be grateful if you could lend us your strength to forge that gateway... I must be going."

Hello. Now what was this?

Curiosity burning within him, Nivix changed his trajectory. His destination was no longer Seith's observatory, but the garden hall and the occupants that stood within. Alighting upon the grassy surface, the deity did have to admit that there was a certain impressive quality about the realm Eldarwen had created. It did not shine as brilliantly as his star, but it held an air that spoke of a different sort of power. Hmm... Perhaps these plants merited a further study.

However, that could wait until later; for now, Nivix found his attention drawn to Roe, Ailish, and their mysterious preparations.

"You said you wanted my blessing?" he began, giving a brief wave in greeting. "And what exactly do you mean by heavens?"

Pentar 22AP 2MP
The beings before Pentar finally spoke. "I am Calath, the High Speaker. And we are the devils." It said this with regal authority; Calath was clearly proud to represent his people. But despite this aura of confidence, a question escaped his lips. "We are confused. Is it you who has brought us into being?"

Pentar put on a warm smile. "Indeed I did." he said. "I've created you and all that you see around you." He swept his arm around the hall. "My power is immense, greater than you can comprehend." Pentar turned back to Calath. "Tell me, High Speaker, what do you think is the purpose of you and your people?"

A lip-less grimace crossed the devil's face. "I believe, great creator, that we are here to make deals."

"Deals? Pentar said, confused. "What sort of deals?"

The grimace got wider. "We trick others into signing something of theirs away. That's how we will gain power and prestige. It is all perfectly lawful, of course. We would never deviate from your ways of order."

"Trickery!?" Pentar boomed, flabbergasted.

"This is who we are, creator." Calath said. He looked baffled and hurt. "Does this not please you? Isn't this what we where made for?"

With out another word, Pentar turned and strode out of the hall, cape billowing behind him. The other had left while he was absorbed in the conversation, but he heard Seith's invitation echo through his mind. He through open the doors that lead back into the garden and found a tree to sit by. He closed his eyes to think.

A few moments later, he open his eyes again. Now he had a plan for how to tackle this. He briefly glanced at his shadow and found that it was much more defined than before. He looked up and saw the new stars and planets scattered through out the void. It seems the other have been at work. But Pentar had his out work to do, and so made his way the Seith's Observatory. "You were right." he said as he entered. "They are beasts of trickery, little more. But I think if we work together we can savage them, make them better. Having a race of lesser beings at our disposal could be useful, after all." Pentar stopped and remembered that he was being a bit impolite by not letting Seith speak first. "Excuse me, friend. Is there something in particular that you wanted from me?"

Seith 23, 2

Seith was waiting for the rest to arrive. Someone was making a portal and Seith was tempted to help, but figured that if he did not know its purpose, he would be better off allowing the others to partake, for his own safety. Other issues were more important anyway and Seith was willing to be patient. Balance came from patience after all. Soon Pentar arrived, which the god thought was interesting since he had not called to him specifically, but then remembered addressing him earlier and figured it had something to do with that.

"They are beasts of trickery, little more. But I think if we work together we can savage them, make them better. Having a race of lesser beings at our disposal could be useful, after all." "Excuse me, friend. Is there something in particular that you wanted from me?"

Seith smiled, Pentar had seen the creatures that Seith could feel were evil incarnate. He was glad the orderly being had seen Seith's light and was happy to work with him.

"In essential yes, but more will be arriving soon and I will wait for them to begin my major intention. It is good to hear that you see what I see and purification is always good to reach. Deception is never a good aspect but I feel that they could still be saved. I fear what Vantric would do with these creatures and his desire to use them is disturbing. He shouldn't be trusted."

Seith was getting used to his mirrors and was staring deep at his center mirror, which reflected into other mirrors which in turn would reflect into other mirrors and so on until Seith could see the whole universe in what mortals would see as nothing, but the astute eyes of a god can perceive even of the smallest changes. He stopped himself from being engrossed and turned back to Pentar.

"I feel you wish for the same goal as myself, but I warn you that while I am a fan of order in moderation, I will not stand for the tyranny it can lead to in excess and I will be quick to point out tyrannical actions. Please do not take them as an insult, balance is my goal and it always requires little adjustments, but the payoff is greater than any one force could bring."

Seith got up and began pacing.

"The mortals will be easily influenced by us and I feel abuse may run rampant. I hope you will work with me to ensure they are not abused."

Seith moved to Pentar and put his hand foward, hoping to confirm an alliance.

Although Seith didn't say it outright, Pentar understood the message: I will not hesitate to fight you if you go against me. Seith seemed to be convinced that he knew exactly what was right for the universe. Pentar would have to keep an eye on him. Never the less, they agreed on many things, and their power would only be magnified by working together. Already the other Gods were forming their own alliances, and Pentar had no intention of being caught off guard if one of these factions targeted him. Nodding his head, Pentar gripped Seith's outstretched hand. "I will help you, brother. Let our union last 'till the end of time." he proclaimed joyously. Pentar released his hand and started walking in a circle around the observatory, examining the craftsmanship of the mirrors. "Who else are you expecting?" he asked as he walked.

Vantric: 23,2

Vantric entered and nodded slightly to Melanthios. He was surprised that the inside of the building was so much larger than the outside. Before a roaring fire were two others. One was Zareth, the other was a hooded figure he had seen earlier in the garden. "You have company?" He asked, "I am Vantric." He approached the others, offering his hand.

Surrounding the group were books. Books lining every wall, books neatly stacked and ordered. Books. "That is quite a lot of information." Vantric commented. He let his eyes wander. What secrets did they hold? Curious. After introductions, he made the note to ask Melanthios for access to the library.

Ailish ? 2, 30

"You said you wanted my blessing? And what exactly do you mean by heavens?"

Her head turned and she saw the creator of worlds. Ailish's serenity replaced with curiosity.

"I did. This world we live in?" she gestured all around her. "is disconnected from our true home. I hope to open a gate back so we can return. Would you help us? Your blessing may direct our efforts back to the heavens. Our true home, and one I think we've forgotten."

Seith 23, 2

"Who else are you expecting?"

Seith was glad to at least have Pentar. Pentar would prove a reliable and trustworthy ally and as long as he was kept from going crazy with power, all would prove well. He seemed slightly off put by Seith's last statement and he did not want to make his new ally nervous. He smiled warmly and replied to the question.

"All but two. My birth brother and I must meet separately and that Vantric fellow won't belong here. I can sense a confabulation between us at some point in the distant future, I hope to gather as many of us as possible in order to ensure peace. I do not want us to fight, I feel that would be disastrous for our creations. Don't think I intend to monitor you like a hound by the way. It just is that we all have to be careful not to overstep our boundaries and if order takes over entirely, freedom is overshadowed by it. I won't ask you to follow me, just to take heed of my advice if I give it."
