The online people I hate:

-Team stackers: I hate it when your playing a game, the other team is losing a lot or even a bit...and some ass hat from the other team who is being a soar loser decides to join the winning team and fucking up the balance of the teams...and they normally bring 1 or 2 other with em. Stay on your team, suck it up, and dont team stack because you cant stand lsoing!!

-Team killers (do it on purpose): Just...fuck off will ya

-AFK's: they dont annoy me a lot, but when they just idle for 20 or more minutes it just isn't fair for other people who want to play. Go spectator or leave will ya?

-Glitchers: In a real game, I dont want people exploiting game glitched like hiding in a wall, or something crazy like that. It's no different than cheating, and it breaks up the game.

Oh no. Did you really just call snipers, campers? A sniper has skill, he uses the advantage of distance and is most certainly a "real player". I am a sniper, some or most of the time. And a good sniper doesn't stay in the same place... it attracts too much attention. JFK... I do not understand this statement, he was killed by a sniper, not a game.

Don't even compare defending to camping. In fact, if I'm on a 6 kill streak in COD4 then I think I'm pretty justified to camp... Spawn campers are a completely different kettle o' fish. They are worthless pointless cheating scum.
When playing COD4, camping with a sniper is useless, because of the KillCam. If you rub someone out, you need to move to another place. Good snipers, like me and you, do that often. The chalenge of sniping is exactly that. Get as many kills as you can, and dont get spotted. But yeah, sniping takes skill to.
The people I hate the most are music junkies. Just because you like raw hip hop or techno songs doesnt mean I have to as well. Once I caught one of those in a COD4 match. He was playing 50 cent through his headset. So, I picked up an mp3 player, and played some Hardcore Punk. He went away along with four other guys.
PS, looking out of a window onto a choke point is defending, even outsource defending is OK, waiting near the chokepoint so you are indirectly defending.

I'm okay with you guys as long as you stay away from the mic, seriously.
I'd rather have microphones having age limits than games.
Ugh. I've been mistaken for a man over a mic for 3 years now, and I'm 15. Just stop kid-bashing, ok?
Hell no.
No 13 year old or younger people should ever be allowed to have a microphone.
The age limit should be around the age of 15+ when people usually start sounding less annoying.
We shouldn't have to take risks.

People with piss poor connections.

And the wankers who use 3 frag on COD4 and lob them in random places. That makes me cry.

OK then, I don't like your tone of voice. Everyone over 16 shouldn't be allowed microphones because they just argue and throw insults at each other, or never even use them!

I don't know how old you are, but I'm going to assume 20s. How would you like to be punished for the actions of a few 18 year olds?

Or, if it doesn't directly affect you, how would you feel if someone said all adults shouldn't have mics. Even if you don't use one anyway, I'm sure you'd be outraged that such sweeping generalisations and unfair accusations are being levelled, right?

Everyone under 18 is part of my 'people' so to speak. As everyone over 18 is yours. By insulting them you are indirectly insulting me, so please, please, please just lay off.

Thanks.

People who try to enforce special rules such as "15 min no rush" or "no snipers" or "no camping" or even "no spawn camping". If you don't like the game, make your own! I happen to like most games the way they're made and if spawn camping is possible, blame the game, not the players. If I happen to walk by and I see you spawn, should I not shoot you? It's ridiculous. It's a FPS. If I see you, I shoot you.

I hate whining.

Whew. Nice to get that off my chest.
I second that, especially because it happens every so often on my servers. It pisses me off when some guy comes on and then starts bitching a lot, trying to get everyone on the TF2 server to play "Melee Only" or something. Every time someone doesn't he whines some more. I actually had a person like this yell that an admin should ban me for using a flamethrower while he was harping on people to use only Melee weapons.

That's right: the guy yelled at me, the founder of the server's clan and the head admin, for not following his rules on my server. God, I hate those bastards...

On a lighter note, I have a great dislike for Scouts in TF2. That deadly combination of their speed and a crit shot from their scattergun has unexpectedly killed me more times than I can count.

I'm 17, and I don't use microphones and I'd be apathetic to the subject.
Well on second thought, I'd probably be for that proposition as long as it included everyone and not just adults.
It's also not a few of the 13 year old who are annoying, it's the majority of them.

I stand by my word, if you're a day younger than 15, you should seriously not be allowed to use a microphone.
Even if you're one of the few who matured early, the chance is still bigger that you're not.

Any player duo (or more) who are obviously friends to the point that they will teamkill just to make sure they can ride the mongoose together (if it's Halo 3 of course). You can make your own joke from that one.
I thought I had something funny, and I forgot it. Next time you see those people its best to let a plasma grenade 'accidentally' stick the mongoose or someone riding it. It's best to have an excuse if they get angry.
Actually what happened is after the first time they TK'ed me they ended up doing it again almost by accident involving an errant fusion core. So I got the option to boot them out of the game, did so, and our team still won shorthanded.

So, moral victory I guess.

there was one person in the Viper clan on Starsiege: Tribes that led me to refuse to play the game for months, I hated him so much, for various and sundry reasons.
name? i reckon i know who it might be.....
I forget his name exactly, it was a couple years ago. I think it was something like "tlc-Viper" or something. Like I said, I have almost no recollection. I was playing in a paintball server, if that helps you.

I've only been on Xbox live for about a week now, and I've yet to encounter a really annoying high pitched little kid (yes, I have played Halo 3)
The only one I can remember that might count was some Australian kid who started shouting out "veto! Vetovetovetovetovetovetovetovetoveto!" But he left after no-one else vetoed.

I did meet some real douche-bags though, about eight or nine people who thought they were excellent smack talkers but really just sounded like inbred morons. From their voices I would put their age at about 17.

Yes they are, the majority don't even speak. The squeaky voiced whiners are a minority, an annoying minority, but a minority nonetheless.

Since everyone seems to hate everyone else, I'll say a mixed-race hermaphoridite aged 5-60 who is an extreme left-wing fascist religious atheist, who camps and is an overly-skilled noob. Damn them!!!!

Hmm.. annoyances... I believe a lot of my peeves will be the same as a lot of previous posters.

* High Pitched Squeakers. Ouch. So high pitch, my eyes just melted. Most of them are'nt old enough to own the game I'm playing.

* Campers. Not Snipers mind, they have skill. I'm talkin' Spawn campers, weapon campers, that sort of thing.

* People who have nothing better to do than yell swearing and insults down an open comms mic.

* People playing music so loud the helpful advice of teammates and sounds of the game are buried under a sea of white noise.

* Actually, now I think of it.. Open Comms. I prefer Button Comms. Think first, engage Talk button.

The only time I've ever been annoyed enough to actually leave a game was once when I was playing World in Conflict and some guy was shouting at the support player to stop messing around with his artillery and get us some anti-air. The guy actually called in an air-strike on his own team and killed the artillery because the other player wasn't using AA. Then the support player dropped in some more artillery and resumed what he was doing. After two maps of that one-sided argument, watching the game descend into angry shouting (by ONE GUY) and our team lose by ridiculous margins because of it, I quit in disgust and joined another server.

Two reasons that pissed me off:
1) The guy kept harping on it instead of, say, switching to support and getting some anti-air himself.
2) The support player didn't listen and kept on using artillery, which is not usually effective against enemy helicopters. Such as the ones that were tearing our forces to pieces.

There were a few other times when playing online that annoyed me, but none as much as that.
