I guess I wouldn't say hate, but if Steve Carell were to retire today it would be about 30 movies and 5 tv shows too late. I have never found him funny, in anything he has ever done. Anyone who runs with that whole "I'm so awkward, and dumb, and oblivious" (that seems to be Carell's entire one-note career) just isn't funny. Its awkward and off-putting. I'd rather leave than be around someone like that, or watch that.
Scarlet Johansson and Natalie Portman. All the roles I have ever seen them in are horrible, or at least nowhere near as good as their fellow actors. I don't hate them, but at the same time I think people clamoring for a Black Widow movie are crazy.
Bill Murray, he has a house in the same area as me and everyone who's met him says he's a total asshole.
Tarantino.
Im sure the guy is lovely, but his films just rub me the wrong way. They are usually too long, too slow, and have maybe one or two aspects that hold it up, but the rest drag it down.
Take Pulp Fiction for example: I'll probably get crucified for this, but I just don't understand the appeal. I think that it is very weirdly edited together (for the worse), Sam L is criminally underused, and the entire second and third acts are completely pointless in the grand scheme of things, other than the fact that John Travolta dies. I also thought that a lot of the dialogue was cringy at best, and a lot of scenes overstayed their welcome.
I really wanted to like Inglorious Basterds, and I loved Christoph Waltz's character and performance, but whenever the film focused on the cinema lady, the film took a sharp turn into boredom territory, and the whole thing just dragged whenever it wasn't focusing on Brad Pitt's character and crew.
Personally, I think that Django is Tarantino's best film, and that is mostly because it manages to miss pretty much every problem that I have with his other films, other than the fact that it is damned long. It also contains some amazing performances from pretty much everybody involved. Good stuff.
Its also super unfortunate, because both my best friend and girlfriend love him and his films, and my girlfriend also wants to call one of her kids Quentin.

Eh? It's not like she's undergone some sudden conversion or cashed in on a trend, she's been into nerd/ geek culture (including gaming) for decades and has said as much more than a few times over the years (hell The Guild was based on her own 2 year long WoW obsession and that's a pretty old show now), she's just gotten more famous for it recently.Silentpony said:

I don't hate any celebrity. I did mention Daniel Day-Lewis in another thread. I am going to add Shia LaBeouf. When he was getting cast in every high profile blockbuster movie. I didn't understand why. He is so annoying and personality-less. It's an outdated "hate". Since, everybody else have finally realized what a talentless douchebag he is.

I would also add Seth Mcfarlane for somewhat similar reasons. Seth Green gets a free pass because he is relatively self-aware/deprecating and voiced one of my favourite Mass Effect characters. Above, he made me laugh where the others have not.
