Perfect Dark remake for XBLA

Has anyone heard anything about this? It is the 64 remake, and last I checked it was supposed to come out...Winter 2009. And well, needless to say, the year is almost up and I have heard nothing about it, not even a "It has been delayed".

Anyone got any info?

I probably will, perfect dark in HD and 60fps sounds incredible. I hope this means they plan to do a perfect dark 2 (NOT zero 2) in the future.

I was looking forward to it, the whole reason PD on the 64 was hit or miss for me was because of all the framerate and lagging issues. It was trying to emulate way to many sprites and affected gameplay. That would obviously be no problem for the XBOX.

Hell I think the only way they could ruin the remake in my eyes is if they didn't allow us to host custom (PUBLIC) multiplayer lobbies. A farsight only mode would be hilarious, as would timed mines only. Personally I never noticed much lag when I played it. Me and my friend would always do all slayer games with us 2 against a team of bots, and even when explosions were going off EVERYWHERE the game never seemed to lag. Obviously going back to it is horrendous, but that's to be expected of such an old game.

It won't be on the Wii. This is a full on remake, not just a port of the game emulated like all the Virtual Console stuff. It is designed to work with the XBOX controller. You will be able to play online from what I can tell as well.
If the Wii does ever add it it will just be the exact same as the 64 version. Might as well just play it on the 64.

There is also the fact that Rare the makers of the game are now owned by Microsoft. That is why it is coming to the 360. Which is the same reason banjo kazooie is on 360 arcade and that Nuts and bolts game was realesed.

I too am waiting for it to realease since i heard about it a while ago. I hope they don't sell it for a rediculous amount of Microsoft points though.

Microsoft now own the rights to the perfect dark series ,so the chances of the original turning up on the virtual console are slim i`m afraid

They seem to keep XBLA titles fairly quiet until they're just about to be released. It's probably been delayed but as far as we know it'll be out next week... or even today seeing as I haven't checked.

Cant do a Zero 2 since the whole point of the "Zero" means first mission. I should also add that PDZ is a highly underrated game, and all it needs is technical improvements mostly.

So.. in your world, improving a game that many of us loved as children with features that todays gamers find attractive.. is a bad thing?

Don't mean to be rude but where the hell did you get that from? I meant it's a shame it isn't coming to the virtual console and it's also a shame that the new features will never be available on the Wii.

That's not entirely true. Shadow Complex, Turtles in Time RM, Marvel VS Capcom 2 all had release dates that I drooled over looking forward to, and could easily be googled.
It's like this whole PD RM is something they're trying to erase all record of.
If it was coming out you'd assume they would advertise it as advertising = more money.
There is no reason to keep it a secret unless they don't want anyone to buy it.

The disturbingly named "FistSim" is the worst. He'd punch you into oblivion and then when you respawned you'd still be seeing red.

Both Killer Instinct and PD are strongly rumoured to be coming out on XBLA.

Perfect Dark is taking too long if thats the case, or microsoft is just releasing a small amount of XBLA games.
