i agree, Perfect Dark was my first ever video game (BESIDES Donkey Kong 64) and i absolutely loved it, the storyline, the challenges, and it was a decent sized game

I thought I'd come in and say something sarcastic and witty... but this is as true as it gets.

Perfect Dark 1 was really, really, really good. And Perfect Dark Zero was as bad as PD1 was good.

Perfect Dark has aged with all the grace of a corpse. Plus, my total lack of nostalgia makes my vision all the clearer.

And Zero is just bad.

If I had to chose...PD.

I never really liked Perfect Dark to begin with, so Perfect Dark Zero wasn't that big of a disappointment to me.

Never understood the Kameo hate, myself.

It's simplistic, sure. but it's deep enough to have hidden paths with collectible and is great for younger gamers.

And it's breath-taking, aesthetically. Even today.

Back in the day, myself and 3 friends would play the shit out of Perfect Dark for the 64. It was so much better than golden eye 64 it's not even funny. Running around with dual cmps...ah nostalgia.

I assume that's the one where you can clip through the first level and finish it in 6 seconds?
Never managed it myself...

Also, Perfect Dark has aged... decently I found. Not half as well as Banjo Tooie say, but a lot better than Goldeneye. Controls are a bit stiff, A.I. is a bit rubbish, but the level design is good, the music is good, and the weapons are still fucking amazing. That and Half life 2 are the only shooters that really, really blew me away. I probably preferred Perfect Dark overall though.
