Would you care to elaborate on this? Why do you hate Aquaman? Have you ever even read an Aquaman comic? Because some of them are actually pretty damn good. In particular the opening story arc for the current New 52 story arc of Aquaman was phenomenal. Granted, it was written by Geoff Johns who can (and will) make anything awesome. I guess what I'm asking is do you hate Aquaman? Or do you just hate the poorly written version of Aquaman who has frequently appeared in the more mainstream forms of the superhero genre?

OT: I don't think there's anyone I have any overwhelming desire to see die permanently. Any character can be really interesting with the right writer. Sure there are a couple characters floating about who I'm not a big fan of, but it's not like they're actively detracting from my comic book reading experience... I just don't read their comics. Sure I might have to deal with them in a crossover with a character I do like, but that minor inconvenience doesn't destroy their potential to be written well, and to play a role in an interesting narrative.

Perhaps you should consider editing your opening post with a disclaimer if you want to avoid rehashing old territory? In a thread with as many responses as this one, people are going to just respond to the opening post. If you've already elaborated on why you'd get rid of Aquaman, there's no reason not to put it in your opening post to keep people from asking.

Or you could just get mad at anyone who asks you a question. Your call.

Fine, I'm gonna drop the act and tell you what I really think. I came in here and saw your post and just wanted to talk about Aquaman, who I feel hasn't gotten the chance he deserves. But instead of indulging me, or even politely informing me that the issue had already been discussed, you flew off the handle and acted like I'd just murdered your dog.

I don't know about you, but I don't particularly like getting yelled at for no good reason. However I'm also not the sort who likes direct aggression. So instead I did what I always do when someone on the internet acts like you were acting... I decided to play a little game of poke the bear. Terry is Batman's son? His dna was written into a random dude who just happened to get married and have a kid? And the series ends with Bruce actually caring about someone (terry) as his own kin?

No, Batman doesn't get to see old age. He physically, it's realistically impossible, even with all his training. Some night someone kills him or he keeps pushing himself until he dies of a heart attack. The only way Bruce Waynes' story ends on a happy note is if he actually get a girlfriend, falls in love, becomes happy and can finally move on from his parents death.

Robin has been a part of the comics from the very beginning. Batman as a character only existed for one year before Robin was introduced. Having a sidekick is also very much in-line with his character - having been orphaned as a young age, Bruce Wayne then serving as a father figure for another orphan (Dick Grayson specifically, I'm not sure what Jason Todd's situation is and I think Tim Drake becoming Robin was for Batman's sake rather than Batman taking Drake in for his sake) is very fitting.

I'd really prefer the character had never existed at all, or mostly just her powers.

They're mutants; I get that. But there is no way being born with messed-up genes could ever give you the power to control the weather. Frankly, she'd be better off as a super hero that has nothing to do with the X-Men series. Of course, there was one X-Men character that was far worse: Magician. I. Hate. That. Guy. So. Dang. Much. He controls reality... because he was born weird. CONTROLS REALITY just because he's a mutant! That does not work!

In any case, let's kill Deadman, Bucky Barnes, and Spawn! Oh, wait... Hmmm... I've got it! We'll have Superman fall in love with a woman made entirely out of kryptonite! That'll work!

On the other hand, for a non-american, there is very little reason to like him in the first place.
Most of the other superheroes usually have something else to make them interesting. Captain America just seems like... "Hey, I'm representing America! Like me! USA! USA!"

Well...I'm going to stretch the superhero topic a bit. Mostly because I'm not all that into comics and I feel that simply stating that I'd kill one person or another would be a little uneducated (given that I haven't read a comic since I was 14).

However, I do have one super human that exists in a fan-boy ridden mythos of absurd proportion that I'd like to see murdered or die, and that would be the Emperor of Mankind from the Warhammer 40k universe.

40k is terrible at never moving any mythos forward. Every chapter has some secret that they carry that will never be revealed (Cypher of "The Fallen" or the Grey Knights "super secret, mystery box"). There's always some looming threat of an apocalyptic force that never comes (what's chasing the Tyranids). Killing the Emperor would be the first leap for the mythos moving forward. I would even settle for one of the common tropes people complain about in comics where he dies, but comes back or isn't really dead. At least he wouldn't be just a skeleton with psychic powers.

I would kill Captain America off I mean seriously what does he do? All he is, is just wank for America. I thought he was pretty much the worst out of all the Avengers, in the film.

Unless you are American he is pretty much impossible to relate to. He was created as some guy who fights Nazi's.. I mean Hydra, he was just created to boost morale in the world war. I think he has now lost all relevance, and should be gotten rid of.

Just want to express my love for Superman, he is always said to be too good. I agree with this, and the only solution, to make him interesting is to pit him against stuff that is better than him. Like Darkseid or Doomsday or some other random mega strong villain thing. This will solve the problem of
Good vs Evil... oh wait Superman just arrived! (Good 1 / Evil 0)
