Which personalities really grate against you?

Personally, hyper-extroverted, and patronising people really get on my nerves. They are like acid as I don't know how to answer back to them. It pisses me off so much. There is this f**king shopkeeper who calls me "quiet" every time and it's making me seriously consider taking my custom to a different shop.

In high school I had a chemistry teacher who seemed to be in a perpetually good mood. I don't know why but every time I heard that overly peppy voice I found it jarring. I suppose it just came off as fake to me. I understand some people are generally happier than others but to make such a show of it all the time just seems superficial.

People with no sense of humour.

90% of what I say is an attempt at humour, so I find it nearly impossible to communicate with those types :D

Overtly masculine or feminine people, since they mostly end up annoying or come across as trying too hard.

Overly happy people. There?s this girl in my year at school, and while there?s nothing wrong with her per se, she acts and sounds like she?s on drugs half the time and it just feels unnecessary.

Prudes. People stuck in the 1950s who think the word ?crap? is a swear word and are quick to blacklist pornography, because they?re just overall weird about any display of sexual identity.

Yaaaaa I hear that it is like talking another language. They just sorta stand there stone faced and you just sorta feel like a idiot.

These are also the people who generally take everything really seriously so they get annoyed at me when I don't get all tense. I tend to be a very relaxed person so serious people get annoyed at me because they think just cause I am so easy going I can't take things seriously.

Yeah, I agree with this too.

I'm a seriously laid back guy, so I don't mix well with people who are tense and serious all the time.

People who aren't committed. It just bugs me when people decide not to show up to things because they feel what they are doing is more important. If you've decided to commit to something, that comes first! At least have the decency to tell in advance so the others don't have to wait on you.

People that are just intense.

I'm a really laid back person and it just annoys me when someone can't relax and calm down.

I really don't understand it.

Pretty much the same here, I get really flustered when people are bouncing around everywhere yelling and getting excited over nothing, I just like to lay back and have a bit of a laugh for the most part, it really annoys me when people have to constantly be the focus of everything, just calm down and have a bit of fun!

I used to work with a guy that would flip out over any problem that happened, didn't really matter if it was a small or a big one, and it drove me nuts. Interestingly enough his nickname was 'Tweak', so there's that.

Nothing everything has to be srs bsn every second of every day, that would just suck and be boring.

People who can't stop talking ... like they don't ever shut up like ever... No the reason i'm not talking isn't because I'm lonely or because I'm upset, I'm an introvert and sometimes I just want a quiet place to think, now stop bugging me.

It kind of trivializes 'actual' srs bsns too, I get kind of annoyed when I'm actually stressed or upset about something serious (and not showing it, because I don't like to bring other people down), and somebody is flipping out over one little things like something being 5 minutes late, or that their food isn't up to their godlike standards. If I can make the effort to still be calm and collected AND still have a laugh while I have my own issues to deal with, I'm pretty sure people can handle the minor inconveniences that life throws EVERYBODY EVERYDAY.

Those people wouldn't know actual srs bsn if it hit them in the head with a slab of meat.

Meanwhile, the rest of us can have fun conversations, like talking about pie! :D

Most of the hang-ups in this thread can probably be traced back to 'people who do or say dumb shit', so I will simplify my answer to the sort of answer I tend to give in these situations:

Stupid people.

People with a god complex. (If you bleed like the rest of us you arn't gods gift to mankind)

People on a high horse. (Amusing to kick them off said high horse)

People who think there above me. (Nice to get em squealing in a corner like a piggy)

People who shit rainbows and puke sunshine. (Inhumanly happy)

3 of those types are pretty much rich elitist traits. Plenty of that to go around in toff Britain with the eton brats ruling.

I can't believe people are moaning about people being too happy, it's better than them being bitter bastards.

People that do 'hilarious' shit to the point that it's annoying, rustle my jimmies.

The sunlight shines out of my arse types, now lick my boots.

Lazy people.
