Wait, is it me, or did PETA just do something that could be classified as 'intelligent'? Maybe not the best campaign ever, but they didn't... butcher everything.

'Be kind to Zerglings, even if they're about to eat your nipples for tea'. Thinking about this entire concept is making me brain dumber.

As much as I think Zerglings are cute, I don't think this is necessary...
Have fun with your "Ethical Treatment of Zerglings"!

"...skin them alive for a handbag, shoes, or a belt..."
I don't remember Starcraft having such things happen...maybe I haven't played in a long time.

I can't speak for everyone, but I'm doing my part to be nice to Zerglings. That's why I'm using Siege Tanks and not Firebats!

If I were to hug a zergling, it would;

Devour me
Digest me
Crap me out
Then using my knowledge, would find everyone I know and devour them too

I would sooner hug a cactus, and hence;

FIREBATS, ASSEMBLE!

I actually find this funny.
For the next Valve announcement, thet should be the "Scientists For the Ethical Treatment of Headcrabs"

This is actually quite funny. It doesn't really seem patronizing, and I think it is going ALONG with Blizzard rather than accusing it of anything.

"When playing StarCraft, I had noticed how the Zerg were treated more like animals than like other people. I couldn't help but wonder if there would be an analog to PETA in the world of StarCraft,"

Huh. That's strange. Without swarm lords, they end up going nuts and eating each other. I guess they are just like people!

After Starcraft 2, Zerg on planets that were recolonized were used as wild game pretty often. Those Carapaces could fetch a hefty price.

Have they hired a new PR team or something, because this is easily the best thing that PETA has ever done? It's funny and pretty cute and not confrontational in a completely retarded way, like everything else they seem to say and do in regards to games.

HOLD THE FUCK ON!!!

Zerglings are manufactured creatures. They were "gifted" traits by a superior species making them basically wolfs that have been bred into dogs. True Zergs are now bred for combat and genetic perfection, but they are still a bred species even from the start. Initially they were uplifted for a purpose like the Protos, they were intended to serve a goal.

In other words PETA is actually AGAINST Zergs. They want to take every single zerg into the back alley of their headquarters and euthanize it. That is what PETA wants to do to zergs. They want to eradicate them all because PETA believes that "animals for companionship or any other use" should not exist.

Nice job PETA, you hypocritical pieces of shit.

Off topic, but what is your avatar from? I can normally at least hazard a guess with anime avatars but yours has me stumped and its bugging me.

OT: As far as PETA goes this falls into the "harmless but stupid" category. I have to wonder if after the overwhelmingly negative reaction to the Mario, Cooking Mama and Pokemon parodies they decided to step back and try to take a more gentle approach to reaching gamers. It still isn't going to work, but apparently they are at least capable of recognizing trends. Although they don't seem to be able to recognize what a bunch of vile people they all are.

This is beneficial for our imminent invasion. Resistance will only delay the inevitable. I think these... 'PETA' people has the right idea; just submit and join the swarm. Well, I say 'join' while what we really only need from them is what little intelligence we can extract. There's no actual benefit for us from having them joining our collective, so they'll likely just be processed for food.

Unsurprisingly, when faced with the choice of the survival of all intelligent, benevolent life in the universe and a mindless destructive force, PETA chooses to side with the latter.

PETA, because fuck mankind.

Its still PETA. It still enrages me. Not as much as their other antics, but still.

So PETA wants us to be friendly to Zerg while they infest our planets and slaughter our people.

You know, THEY started first with Chau Sara! They care nothing about human emotions or the natural ecosystems (seeing as they destroy all life on every planet they find with life on it).

PETA might want to read a bit more source material before making dumb campaigns -.- .
