You mean the attack dogs trained specifically to kill enemy soldiers and that will rip your jugular out of your throat if you don't kill them?

Perspective, people. Perspective.
I still always feel really bad about that. They were TRAINED to do that. They didn't want to be like that ;-;

True, but that doesn't change the fact that you either kill or be killed in that situation. I don't think that, with a dog trying to bite your throat out, you'd think, "Aw, the poor guy doesn't know what he's doing. I'll just let him kill me so he can live, since this isn't really his fault in the first place."

I wish PETA wasn't the loudest and most prominent voice in the animal rights movement. There are vegans with credible causes who like to discuss issues articulately and without horrible flaws in logic, and then there's PETA, who use nothing but shock tactics, jokes that aren't funny, and are riddled with hypocrisy and double-standards.

I know most of the forum doesn't care about this since they're not concerned about animal rights (animal welfare, maybe) - but it's an ongoing disappointment that PETA have more money than anyone else in the movement but blow it all away on setting the movement back repeatedly.

Is there anyone who takes them seriously anymore? (Did people ever take PETA seriously?)

That's because it was made by This Is Pop, who make great games for Adult Swim instead of some inside PETA beginner programmers.
Did they make Robot Unicorn Attack? Cause come to think of it, this is pretty similar.

Yes, blood and guts is hilarious PETA. Therefore, in the name of comedy, I plan on grabbing that raccoon that always gets into my trash, and stabbing it with a rusty knife. Thank you PETA for the inspiration.

Dammit PETA, your humor sucks, your cause is a lie, and your way of getting across a message is tantamount to saying "The air we are breathing is giving us all AIDS!!! Just kidding, but pollution is bad..."

They're pretty mental if they approve of a game that encourages the mauling of a human being, like the slaughter of humanity is somehow within a moral threshold of acceptability in contrast to any injustice to animals. Humans are animals as well, so their little "jokes" that involve any killing make them out to be rather hypocritical. Just because human cruelty isn't their focus, they shouldn't act like it's still okay.

And to even further prove how delusional they are, Call of Duty attack dogs are being juxtaposed with a Dog Fighting simulator. I like dogs, but I extend the same courtesy to them as I do any other damn thing that tries to kill me: I kill it right back.

People who are part of silly minorities like PETA or any vegan right movement have no idea how to get their ideas across for some reason. I don't see a problem with veganism, what you eat is your choice, and anything you do in your home is your business.

I have no idea why people from PETA and many other pro-animal, pro-vegan foundations can't seem to positively advertise.
It seems like because those types of groups are generally trying to actively convert non-vegans, they go all out on the crazy. If you think about that goal - converting "non believers" in any context, it makes sense for such an organization to go batshit insane about their cause because that is an attitude of intolerance and ignorance.

Of course, that just makes them unbearable and godawfuly tenacious. Why can't the sensible ones ever be the loudest?

How was their campaign a failure? They basically were able to connect to thousands of people who would have never known this information otherwise. Specifically that these canines are beaten and skinned alive for to make cheap Chinese "faux-fur" products.

I wish they'd just ban their import altogether. If for no other reason than to deny another advantage the Chinese have over American manufacturers; the ability to treat the environment like a cheap whore.

I wonder if this announcement came before or after a lengthy legal document from Nintendo arrived on their doorstep which perhaps would have contained words like "slander" and "brand-misuse", even "copyright infringement"?

You see this PETA, this is your "just a joke" card. I am now ripping it up and throwing it away just to make sure you know that it cannot be used by you ever again since your previous shenanigans were all so dead serious that you can no longer taken as a joke for anything you say.

Because blood soaked animal skins are hilarious! Well PETA, people are laughing, but they're laughing at your pathetic attempt to actually do anything significant, or even sane.
