What hilarious about this is that I wouldn't have even known about this games existence had PETA not protested it.

With organizations such as Greenpeace and PETA why would anyone want to stand up to environmental and animal abuse?
Greenpeace is far more reputable and credible than PETA...

I gave up on them with pet slavery. Ok I have pets. I feed them, Protect them, Clean up after them, and expect nothing in return. Yeah there slaves alright.

Plus the fact that the co chair women uses Insoline. I protect tested on and taken from pigs.
Here reason. "I need my life to protect animales." If you arn't willing to die for you cause shut the hell up.
Yeah, I saw that episode of Penn & Teller: Bullshit! as well... very informative. I would never have guessed that PETA euthanizes animals or lends material support to domestic terrorists...

I understand the upset with the treatment of animals in the circus.
I love animals, and I think it's horrible.

But why protest the game? It seems PETA is always protesting video games that have anything to do with animals.
They're pixels, it's not hurting anyone!

PETA I understand.
But what's wrong with Greenpeace?

Oh PETA. First Cooking Mama, now this. Will you EVER do something that makes me not cringe in awe of your stupidity?

Fact: PETA's San Francisco headquarters contains a 90 Square Foot Freezer for all the animals they put down. PETA are hippocrits and do less for animals than your average No-Kill Shelter. Take-Two, on the other hand is no more harming animals than they are the people you shoot in GTA, and the evidence as already shown that has no real world impact.

There are two crimes committed here:

Animal abuse is disgusting, cowardly and craven.

Fantacism is dangerous, manipulative and evil.

And PETA is responsible for a whole lot of both.

Well I did have some reservations about this game anyway, considering the life that circus animals seem to lead, but PETA always seems to be counter productive, and doubtless more people will be interested in this game now it's been given the publicity. So well done PETA, you've probably increased sales of this game by a fair amount.
^ i agree with the above statement wholeheartedly

Greenpeace does the EXACT same thing as PETA, and as far as Im concerned the Sierra Club can hop on the same boat to hell. they both run around on my hunting land during hunting season then complain when they get some "perforations" in the fender on their vehicles.

Ive had to personally deal with both of them and I don't think I can say what i want to say about them for fear some child logs on, sees the words and then has their faces melt "last crusade" style

The game should be recoded to add beating the crap out of animals for not performing good enough.

If I were the developer I'd just add crap to piss them off. "Mama Elephant is hungry...quickly slaughter her baby to provide food". "Boris the Bear won't behave, it's time to castrate him with a rusty coathanger".

Yeah......take that PETA.

I wonder if most games companies can just fire their marketing divisions now, and just replace them with one guy sending a copy of the game to the most fitting group of mental cases.

GTA - Jack Thompson
Manhunt - Keith Vaz (british JT, sorta)
Circus Games - PETA

Surely the next Gran Turismo needs to be sent to Greenpeace as a dire warning of how wasteful sports cars are in terms of fossil fuels and how it's encouraging small children to buy a Ferrari and do 120 mph in built up areas.

The stupidest part is they are the Jack Thompson of animal welfare.

They do so much harm to the cause, because they get most of the publicity and look like a bunch of crazies. If PETA did not exist, animal welfare would be in a better place, I'm against hunting, animal cruelty, unnecessary animal testing ( I believe some is necessary and sorry, bunnies, but I don't rate you above a human life ), but damn, PETA make me want to go into a pet shop with a skewer and make hamster kebabs.

Those my be valid complaints, but I still argue that PETA takes things further than Greenpeace.... Last time I checked, Greenpeace doesn't firebomb animal medical testing labs, or at least pay the legal fees for those who do...
