Also, it's a real fucking kicker that PETA hates Vick seeing that they themselves euthanised 1325 cats and dogs a few years ago. Dumbasses...
Some helpful reading:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_euthanasia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_cruelty
YOU ARE RIGHT euthanized, not put in a cage to fight to the death. these animals would have been left to fend for themselves or pu to sleep in a much less humane way. Some "humane societies" actually gas the animals they can't adopt out, or inject them with poison to kill them. it's called PETA People for the ETHICAL Treatment of Animals. It's the ETHICAL part that people miss, it is not ethical to have animals fight for their lives for entertainment, but it is ethical to relieve the suffering of animals that have nowhere to go and are sick and in pain.

uto
It is not however ethical to take animals and put them down without a chance to find a home, nor is it ethical to dispose of animals by putting them in dumpsters, NOR is it ethical to fund and support a terrorist orginization!

That's not a joke, they help fund ALF.

On top of which they are masive hypocrites, they claim that no one should use medicine developed through animal testing, yet their leader happily uses insulin.

PETA have pretty much no redeeming qualities.

Yes, Vick went to jail, did his time, paid his debt, etc. Has he done anything at all, since getting out and resuming his extraordinarily lucrative career as though nothing had ever happened, to indicate that he's not still a despicable human being?
Why is is okay to hate Vick because of the terrible things he's done, but not okay to hate PETA for they terrible things they've done and continue to do?

Fuck Vick, I actually hope he does end up on the cover and breaks his leg again..then we decide do we heal him or shoot that piece of shit in the head and put him out of his misery. I am a vegetarian and animal lover (not a PETA member BTW) and that whole industry makes me sick.

I'm actually with PETA (is that a pig in the sky?). Tiger Woods got dropped from a bunch of products with his own name on because he had affairs, I wouldn't have thought someone with such a record would be allowed on the cover. Its not like they're lacking choice with 15 other people, and the guy still gets paid shit loads, so its not like he's missing out or being punished by being taken out of the running, exactly.

I hate Vick, but I can't see why he shouldn't be allowed to be on the cover. The only thing that should matter is how good of a player you are.

I'm sick to death of PETA. Don't they realize that nobody gives a damn about them anymore?

I'm not a fan of the guy, but Vic did his time. He paid the price, and he's shown reform. Honestly, I'm getting tired of all the name calling and bashing that comes up whenever he's mentioned. Has he shown any signs of reverting? Has there been any sightings that he even walked anywhere NEAR a pet store or dog kennel? Leave the guy alone.

PETA is never happy with any concession made in their favor. Shouldn't they hold Vick up as a prime example of someone turning their life of cruelty to animals around and finding the inner strength to admit their wrongdoing, win back the respect of fans, and take a fledgling career to a truly impressive place? No, because PETA doesn't operate under any manner of logical thought.

Does anyone who actually plays this game really care if Vick is on the cover? If not, then why should any of us give a damn?

Peta seems to be getting near the completely deluded (and psychotic) level of M.A.D.D.

Apparently everyone is some barbaric devil, rather than a person.

Although honestly I'd go for PETA before M.A.D.D. People from MADD have literally gone insane and changed the entire purpose of the organization.

Sad to say, but now it's more about banning alcohol completely and making it public enemy number one.

They no longer care about people. They are seriously destroying human rights left and right, and making casual drinkers into satanic examples.

M.A.D.D. is one of the worst groups against human rights to date. Even the founder left because of how off center this radical group really is. If you're going to punish people because they have the potential to commit a crime, you best punish anyone with money. Since they have the ability to hire assassins.

I know drinking and driving is a bad idea, but it's not as bad as they say. They seriously compare it to killing someone. That's so fucking wrong it should be a crime in itself to even compare the two. We let quite a few mentally handicapped people drive. Not to be a dick, but WHAT THE FUCK IS THE DIFFERENCE?

Then again, our incredibly corrupt and foolish government can't do shit right, so why expect this of them?

Can someone explain this hate for PETA that I am reading?

Sure, they can piss people off but "the greater good" does come into play.

To be fair, I agree with most posts, which sort of say.

"Yes, what Vick did is and was stupid/atrocious but PETA has no say as he is judged as a player rather than a person in Madden."

I am a vegan and I still despise PETA. Honestly, I don't really care about sports games or sports leagues o any kind of sport I don't do with your own body, but this is one of the better campaigns PETA did. Their "Let's show hot babes make out to advertise vegetables" crap really pisses me off.

PETA also wants me to stop eating meat. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA >wipes tear from eye<.

Why has Vick not started running the "Spite PETA, vote for me" campaign?

Isn't "why would EA invite the backlash" a bit of a stupid question at this point?

I mean... isn't that EXACTLY what they did with the whole MoH Taliban debacle?
Yeah! First with the Armed Forces, and then with us!

Personally, speaking as an unbiased Limey, I can see why the PETA wants Vick to be pulled from the voting season, but I can also see why EA won't. They're judging him on his sportsmanship merits, not about any personal actions.

Still find it funny that people want to hate Vick still yet A-Ok for all the other football players who are known for rape and hiring hooker to keep playing and not even serve jail time.
