I kinda bias, I'm a huge Martin Freeman fan from other works. I couldn't have imagined him as Bilbo, but I'll wait until the make-up and stuff. He is really good at acting awkward.

I absolutely loved the LotR movies, but I had never read the books before them. The Hobbit, on the other hand, was one of my favorite books from my childhood. Saying i'm excited for this movie is an understatement.

December 2012 can't come soon enough.

What... How... What it this I dont even... WHAT????
Well, Tolkien probably didn't get bored and overuse the word "****" for the lolz while coming up with the books[footnote]Evidently there's not much to do on-set between takes, though apparently getting drunk and pissing in fountains was an option[/footnote]. That's the closest thing to a sensible answer I can come up with.

.... I'm with him. I actually hated the Lord of the Rings books. They were extremely long winded and entirely dialogue driven (I know, I know, In a book. Who woulda guessed?)

Like the Hobbit though,

Dammit, Jackson, you're making it hard for me to maintain my cinema-related cynicism.

Just seeing McKellan and Serkis on the sound stage again... The child-like glee it instills in me. Damn, I want to go back to New Zealand just to be within a thousand miles of such an undertaking.

Peter Jackson: "My prediction is its all going to go incredibly well on the day, don't you think?"

Gandalf: ".............................erm."

lol XD

Good to see that The Hobbit is finally getting its time in the lime light! Am looking forward to it :)

Well now. Isn't that something? Call me a blasphemer, but I always liked the Hobbit more than what came after, and I'm excited to see it getting the portrayal it deserves.

And dammit, those last words just sent my spine crawling. It'll be worth the wait. Call me an optimist, but it'll be worth it.

Exactly what I thought when I saw him. You know stuff gets real when Gandalf is back on the set. :D

Man, its been 12 years since they started work on the first one? Doesn't feel that long. And I barely recognise Peter Jackson, but then again, I haven't seen a recent photo of him in quite a while. Looking forward to this; the Hobbit was the only one of the the series I actually read the whole of and enjoyed it.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS?

December 2012.
Seriously.
If they plan to release this AFTER the world ends, I'ma be pissed at him in the afterlife.

If however this movie comes out the day before, I think we can all say we're ready to go.

Wow. That stirred up some surprisingly deep feelings. I'm not even really sure what to say.

(Except that Peter Jackson looks completely different now. I hope he's just lost weight and doesn't have cancer or something.)

The world will end December 20th, so if they go by the same schedule as the old movies, we're good, (around December 10. This will still leave us hanging, as we still wont get to see movie 2
