He already did. he just needs to figure out a way to get it out of development hell.


You play as a tribe of cavemen and fight dinosaurs. I can think of no conceivable way this game could suck.

to those people that say minecraft is an infiminer clone look it up first minecraft just took the ability to place blocks and the blocky style. the random worlds the 64 ceiling, -64 ground
and the u.i. are all notch's. i could give 100 different reasons why minecraft is not a clone of infiminer. please people at least Google stuff before you make accusations.

Um, guys? Right now, the News Room has two different posts that are JUST things Peter Moleneux has said today. They aren't about a new game he's making, or anything resembling a formal announcement. They're just...random things he's said.

This has to stop. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but not everything he says is newsworthy.

I might just be gullible, but even after Peter's promises for Fable 2 I still believed and hoped his promises for Fable III were real. He's just that kind of guy. And he's practically the face of the British gaming industry through what he says.

Part of me wants to agree with you, but another part of me thinks it wouldn't work in practice. If Molyneux did form a new software house seperate from Lionhead, parts of the gaming community would almost demand this new company be called Son of Bullfrog (or something) and start clamouring for Dungeon Keeper 3, Syndicate 3, the next Theme game, and even Genewars 2. And unfortunately I would probably be amongst that number. Whilst at the moment his creativity may be being stifled by Microsoft, I fear that to set out on his own again would be to equally swamp his imagination under a sea of sequels.

I don't intend to discredit Notch (I love Minecraft), but wasn't Minecraft built on, or heavily inspired by this other game "Infiniminer"? I wonder how the Infiniminer developers feel about Notch getting all the credit for a game concept they invented.

Not to be blunt but, where is their finished product? Infiniminer still feels very much like a proof of concept. The graphics aren't as nice as Minecraft. It only runs on Windows.

Mojang took an idea and built a product round it that is accessible for all platforms and pretty well polished.

I don't intend to discredit almost every developer on the industry(I love call of duty),but wasn't almost every FPS built on or heavily inspired by "Doom"?I wonder how the Doom developers feel about the AAA industry getting all the credit for a game concept they invented.

I was playing Minecraft the other day and was reminded of Dungeon keeper when mining for materials.... Dungeon Keeper 3 please...

Anyway, who doesn't like Minecraft.
