I don't think he's been waiting that long.

He's missing teeth, so probably 9.

I don't think someone that young should be playing m rated games. Mind you his dad is very educated on the topic (duh) so maybe he taught his son when he was younger things about games. i.e. "The events in the game is not real"

Half-life is hated M, but its not much higher then T in my opinion.
Molyneux's English, and while I don't know where they're living these days, the BBFC gives Half-Life a 15 rating, not the M which the ESRB gave it. It's PEGI (European) at 16+ as well, so while the kid is still out of range, it's not quite as super serial as an M rating.

Another sidenote amusing rating disparity: Mass Effect 1 got an M in the U.S. It's a 12 in Britain.

Aww, you can feel the family vibes. It's not often you see the human side of the big designers, although I guess Peter has an abundance of it to show. It's one of the reasons he always has my support.

But, dear child, at the pace that Episode 3 is going right now we'll probably see thirteen more Left FOR Dead games before we see Half-Life 3... probably in early 2019 I would say.

As cute as that is, isn't Half-Life 2 an "M" rated game? (I'd have to double check). At the very least I think it's "T". The bottom line is that with the current issues going up before the goverment (Arnie Vs. Free Speech, and ACTA) I don't think it's a wise idea for Peter Molyneux of all people to have their kid pretty much asking for a game rated higher than his age, along with the implication that he played other ones in the series.

Now, normally I wouldn't care, and react like most people... but this seems unusually stupid and irresponsible. All we need now is for Peter to say his son plays Fable 2 to make this an even more ginormous train wreck.

While there are constituonal aspects to this entire thing (ie the goverment regulating is bad under any circumstances, and letting kids have M rated games is the lesser evil to goverment control, ratings are a voluntary service... etc...) the gaming industry and game developers are also trying to show a degree of responsibility, a case for the people not paying attention to the ratings being more a matter of bad parenting, than any attitude or irrespobsility on their part.

Um, just when did this kid play Half-Life 2? He looks really young o_O
Don't you get it? Peter is using his son to talk to Valve because he is to ashamed to do it himself.

This is so cute. Maybe this will warm up Doug Lombardis heart and he will give us a tiny little hint about ep3/hl3 before his heart becomes cold again.

Quick question, how is this news?
Have you ever watched a news segment on TV?

They'll open up and they'll have all their super serial stories like "Floods in Pakistan kill thousands" and "Terrorist threat drives city to stand still" at the start and then at the end they'll have "Passing firefighter saves kitten from tree."

This is the "passing firefighter" story. News doesn't always have to be super serious. Sometimes it can just be feel good dawwwwwww~~~
