Normally I wouldn't make a mention of random YouTubbers, but I feel the popularity of this particular one to be something worth mentioning. PewDiePie is a quite famous YouTubber in that almost every day, he records himself playing quote unquote "scary" games, such as Amnesia or Condemned, as of late. He also has fun for his viewers by playing more humorous games such as Happy Wheels. I guess what I wanted to discuss was the popularity of these type of Let's Plays, as he simultaneously records himself playing via webcam as well as the game footage, so that the scares in question are real-time reactions, for comedic value.

I just think he's great. If I wasn't at work I would post a link to one of his videos. Seriously though, just look him up on YouTube if you find yourself bored. Are there any other "bros" out there?

I've tried him, but it's just not my thing, I love watching funny LPs but he just gets on my tits. Oddly, a few of the LPers I like have been accused of 'being too much like Tobuscus' and I can't stand his videos either.
I don't think they're bad LPers as such and they both have a lot of followers, but Pewdie just shrieks nonsense too much for me to warm to him.

But i just watched some of this Pewdude's stuff.
It's..........not my cup of tea.
And i have always disliked the usage of "bro".

I am not subscribed to him however. I already have enough LPers.

I know you shouldn't judge people from their fans but damn they seem annoying. I don't mean specifically you of course, but the only reason I've ever heard of him is seeing all of his fan's hateful comments directed against UberHaxorNova on Nova's Happy Wheels videos.

Ah he's like an annoying version of Tobuscus... He's ok in small does but I much prefer Cry myself,(Cry and Pewdie basically share a fanbase XP) his edits and little tweaks make all his LP's fucking sweet.

I like seeing him freak out, but at times... he can really be a huge coward, which is funny for a while, but later on... ehhhhhhhhh, I prefer scary game LPers like Helloween4545, who responds to scary moments with funny quips or sarcastic indifference (*Monster shows up* "Oh hi there! I think I'll name you Mr. Spindly Legs!"), except when something really freaky happens that startles him

I occasionally watch LPs, but mostly I just use them as walkthroughs (such as for the SNES fire emblem games) or for games that I want to experience, but don't own the system for (Valkyria Chronicles)

That's not really a traditional LP though - nothing against them, they're hilarious, but an LP is playing a game from start to finish, showing everything they do.

They have done full Let's Plays before. One of Resident Evil 2 and the other of Silent Hill: Downpour which, oddly (or sadly, depending on your view) enough, is much more entertaining than the actual game. Man, what happened to Silent Hill? I was super hyped for Downpour and it actually has some great ideas, but it never follows up.

personally, he's is in my top 2 lp'ers[theradbrad and pewdiepie]. cry would be there, but he really only plays one game i like [amnesia]. he has an EPIC voice, though.

I watch for the gameplay, not particularly for his commentary. His voice and mannerisms are annoying, but for some reason I like him.

Personally... I hate watching LPs. Sometimes I'll flick through them, just checking out what I remember to be the good parts of the game, but I can't imagine watching someone play a game for 30 hours when I could have played the game myself.

Only LP I've ever stuck to was the Super Mario World one on URealms. Nothing else.

I don't like him much. It's fine when people act, but it's pretty obvious and blatant. I watch maybe one video at a time, because any more and it just gets far to obvious. I mainly watch totalbiscuit instead.

I really wasn't much into youtubers, I watched Totalbiscuit because I wanted to see the new Cataclysm footage and his daily mailbox, that led me to start watching his Terraria videos, but now I'm a big fan of Jesse Cox(omfgcata)

I love him. I am never usually a fan of game horror but PewDie gives me the courage to play them and I love him being scared or me being scared wit him.
