Huh. Some folks were saying it was far too easy compared to last year. Now I'm not sure what to think.
Then again this and the first POTA are the only text games I have ever played. So what do I know?

Oy gevault...anyone know how to turn the Ferris Wheel on? I'm pretty sure that's what I have to do. A hint would help greatly.

The controls may be secured in some fashion to prevent random passers-by from messing with them.

If you're talking about the opposite of locking something regarding the control panel, then the game tells me that it's not something I can unlock.

More along the line of missile control panels; you're not unlocking, per se, something just needs to be put in to activate the controls.

Thank you for contacting MusicMaster tech support. First, verify the MusicMaster is plugged in to a working power source; if the display panels are lit up, you have power. Next turn on the machine, and if you are shown an error on the screen, please read off the 168-digit code now.

How do I get the ping pong ball out? I'm so frustrated, and totally stuck.
The ball is made of a high-bouncing gas-filled celluloid, colored white or orange, with a matte finish. The choice of ball color is made according to the table color and its surroundings. For example, a white ball is easier to see on a green or blue table than it is on a grey table. Stars on the ball indicate the quality of the ball. 3 stars indicates that it is of the highest quality, and is used in official competitions.

* The volume is 32000π/3 ≈ 33510 mm³.
* The surface area is 1600π ≈ 5027 mm².
* The circumference is 40π ≈ 126 mm.

Ping pong balls float in water.

I figured it out, finally. Thanks.

Now I just need to find one last part to fix machine.

EDIT: Found, got the good ending. Now I just need to get the bad ending.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the hint. It seems to be working so far. Now I just need to figure out what to do next.

EDIT- Finally! I managed to complete the game. Good thing I picked up that certain something in the beginning, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten the Good ending.

But anyway: I'll have to do this all over again to get both badges, correct?

Spigot! Bastard spigot! I don't even know what you are but your noncompliance enrages me so!

Edit: Ignore that.

>examine parts list
Rubber insulation - check.
Copper wire - completed.
Ping pong ball - completed.
Glass lens - check.
Wadding - completed.
Presumably there's a difference between completed and check. Little cryptic help?

Great game! Really appealed to my compulsion to explore everything and pick up anything I find no matter how useless.

Now, can anyone give me hints as to how to get the bad ending?

Unleash your inner child and try to touch and pick up everything!

Just some random text variety. That and your pen was refusing to write at the time, so the checkmark is more of an indent on the paper and some scribbles.

Sometimes the difference between success and failure is as thin as a kleenex...

That was surprisingly fun! I've never been a text adventure fan either, ever since I got bulldozed in Hitchhiker's guide in like 20 turns...

I finally managed to get both endings! I have to applaud the mods on making this years' POTA even better than the last one.

I have one hint for all those that may be struggling: for those seeking the true path, try imitating Pennywise.
