My computer continues to block the text game because it cannot verify the publisher.

Any way around this or do I have to turn off my firewall?

If it's IE blocking it, there's a setting (don't recall what it's called in IE-speak ... possibly something digital signature-related) you can change from Disable to Prompt, and you should get the option to allow the Java applet to run.

Alternately, download the game and one of the z-machine interpreters and run the game on your own machine.

The note in the ice cream cart is one of the small hidden goodies in the game. It's also a shout out to all the playtesters who helped me out.

There are a few other surprises that I think folks have yet to find. :) If no one finds them in a few days, I'll give some hints.

Also, bananaphone.
Bananaphone? Where?

In a related note, with all the spooky "it's after you" I had half expected a one-turn puzzle where you literally had to type x to not die.
I thought of that, but given that you can't save your game in the Java version, it seemed really mean to make it possible for folks to die.
Actually you can save your game in the Java version. If you type 'save' you will get a download screen to save your game in a file. You can type 'restore' to load the saved file.

Have you tried wearing the surgeon's costume yet? I typed in "Get skeleton", and it responded with "Ze patient ees ready for ze amputation, doktor! Uff wiss ze leg!"
Ding! That's one of the remaining easter eggs down.

Still waiting for someone to find the other one...

:)
Are you referring to the white paper with the the "thank you" note? Or the pony reference perhaps? You're driving the badge hunters crazy :)

Damnit, I actually noticed that one firt time through but didn't realise it was an easter egg.

Is the last one something to do with the wineglass or the fireman costume, as they're the only other objects I have seen which are completely useless apart from the ones already mentioned.

Nope, not referring to that. And the other hidden goody has no bearing on the badges...you can get both without ever finding it.

The key lies close to the Ferris Wheel...
But if you want to ride it you have to turn it on

EDIT: Wait, I just riddled you on the wrong thing, didn't I?
Indeed you did. I figured that out really quickly. Just Musicmaster I couldnt figure out. I tried breaking it open with a screwdriver for about 10 minutes

I've already got the bad ending, and I knew if I did what I did I would get it. I wanted to see it anyway.

Regardless I want to see the good ending but I'm a little stuck. I gathered everything I could find that I could pick up (so I think anyway). My list: the parts list, broken glass, ping pong ball, screwdriver, copper spring, raincoat, stuffing, note, handkerchief, clown costume, surgeon costume, fireman costume.

If someone could point me in some sort of a direction that would be really helpful. I don't know if it has something to do with that awful bananaphone, the broken clock, or the haunted buggyride (nothing seemed to happen there other than that fact there's a door that for some reason you're afraid to open. psssht I wouldn't be). I've been running around the entire place for 30 minutes trying to find the right way to do this and I've decided to take a break and ask for some help.

Brain = fried.

You can go in the buggyride you jsut have to try several times. You have the [spoilerized]macguffin[/spoilerized], therefore good ending will be obtained
