OK, it's said that 40% of Americans will never vote Republican, 40% of Americans will never vote Democrat, and the remaining 20% are therefore effectively deciding the result of every election. It seems to be an unfortunate part of human nature to have an opinion, whether or not you're qualified to give one.

For example, as a British guy, I will happily admit that I have no idea whether the European Union is a good thing or a bad thing in nearly every respect. I would think most people could say the same thing, and yet everyone seems to hold an opinion about it one way or t'other... It's the same with everything else. People have prejudices, preconceptions, weird quirks and associations, etc. It's hard to be totally objective.
I agree. Opinion is the axle in which the wheel of human history turns. Every major war, revolution, campaign, great figure, etc. all started with opinions. I despise it when someone says "you think your opinion is always right". Well, of course I do. If I didn't believe my opinions were right, then there is no point in having one. Not everyone likes to stand with a licked finger, waiting to see which way the wind is blowing.

Back on topic, I find that I am a picky gamer in a sense that one great thing about a game does not spell enjoyment ala GTA4. The graphics and sounds were stellar, but the game lacked fun. I couldn't stand it after about 10 hours. Farcry 2 was the same. Graphics were great and what they were TRYING to do was commendable, but the didn't follow through with gameplay. Bioshock on the other hand...that is fantastic in so many ways.

How's that for a first post? Heh? HEH?!
