holy shit this thread is still alive and well?

I remember getting addicted to this little masterpeice during my semi lurking days, too bad i never made a screen cap of anything ive made.
A lack of app updates has decreased activity as of late, but we're still here. :)

You never saved any JPEGs? There is a button for that, you know.

Huh. After long wait, PMG has finally updated to v0.7.0.4!
Awesome. Can't wait for the big update!
Hasn't the update hit yet? Wasn't it the new RISes and magazines?
Yeah, but I mean the BIG update. The custom content one.

Ahh, that one. I remember hearing about that one now. Skipper sounds excited, but we're waiting on Doctor Noob to do the actual programing. :/

I made a Steampunked Dragunov today.

It's made to be fired from a brace, thus no handguard and the brace attachment at the back of the stock. When you fire it, the bolt pulls back and sticks. You release it by pressing the button on the thing in front of the magazine. That pushes the rod slightly forward, releasing the second rod, which pushes the cylindrical tube forward, which pushes the first block forward to push the second block to the bolt release, which when released sends everything back into place.

Did I get the Steampunk theme right? Do you guys like it? As always, all critiques are appreciated.

You know, perhaps we could do a donation drive? Motivate Dr. Noob to keep going on PMG?

here we go:
A submachinegun built for boarding parties (Gotta have boarding parties on spaceships), using 9mm, and bullpup. (Vacuum capable, of course)
And a low profile 9mm pistol
Both are silenced in order to ensure the marines will still have hearing after firing dozens of rounds in an echoic tin can.

Elaborate and elegant. I'd say you nailed the steampunk idea, using a sniper, no less. The technicals sell the deal, so bravo.

The idea is totally doable. It could be donations, increased adverting, a subscription to some kind of premium package, a sweepstakes to increase traffic; anything would help, really.

It's become clear that PMG is low on the to-do list, but is it so low he won't raise money for it? If he implemented even one new revenue generator, the traffic should speak for itself.

Does anyone here want to set up a PayPal account?

Thanks for the critique!

As for the donation thing, I think Dr. Noob should begin charging something like $5 or $10 for a yearly pass to PMG. That's not a lot of money, but it would still get him reasonable funding with this size of a fan group. People looking to test out PMG could still have access to the old version for free, sort of like Minecraft.

We could present that idea to him via email, if that sounds appropriate.

Ooooh. I like it. The M960 loads from that (for lack of a better word) thing on the top right?

It's aesthetically pleasing, but I don't know much about that weapon, so I can't to technical crits. Still, good job! It's a nice custom build!

It sounds entirely appropriate. It's also the most organized of the fund-raising schemes, it would seem. I can't know for sure if anyone has brought these assorted revenue streams to his attention as of yet, but if you'd like to ask, feel free. Maybe he'll be interested?

Good god, I never wanted to ask to change PMG into a subscription service. I simply meant that we should use the donation button on the site. Turning PMG into a service where you have to pay, rather than one where you should pay, would ruin all the fun.

Thank you. Yes, it loads from the top, and te magazine has a sort of corkscrew setup inside. Its a pretty intresting gun.

Well, he's not gonna spend time developing the app without any money. We'll have to organize a donation drive, methinks.

I don't make enough money to give to other people. I have mortgages and car payments to worry about.

I was trying to build my two AEG's that I use (one based on the KAC PDW, the other a G36c)

Sadly all the parts for them couldn't be found, so I gave up.
