Sorry, didn't mean to trigger your OCD. Do you need to go burn your clothes now?RAKtheUndead said:"Sensitivity", "Realise", "Pubescent", "Should". Learn how to spell. Or, better yet, stop using words with more than two syllables. That should cure your spelling problem in an instant.ExaltedK9 said:Maybe because I matured mentally past the age of 11...
That could explain your hyper-sensetivity. I'm not sorry I dislike a crappy (G rated?) movie that you thought was 'Teh Bomb!'
And did I put an 'e' where an 'o' shoul have been? (Sorry, I didn't realizes I was talking to a pre-pubesent grammar nazi, or I would've paid extra special attention to my spelling.)
The world is filled with different opinions kiddo, you would do well to learn not to be a prick about them. Especially over a shitty movie like up.
You're having a meltdown because I said I thought a Pixar movie was boring, and I'm the immature one? I gotta say, I'm not a fan of your twisted logic.Caliostro said:No, you really didn't. That's the problem. You still think saying you're mature is the same as being mature. Also, and hilariously, you spelled pre-pubescent wrong. AGAIN.ExaltedK9 said:Maybe because I matured mentally past the age of 11...

But whether you like it or not, Up is an objectively good movie, the fact that you failed to comprehend how it subtly approaches extremely "heavy" and serious themes such as existentialism, life, loss, grieving, coping, recovery and empowerment while still having more action and emotional highs and lows than the majority of high budget "serious" movies lead me to think that you're either not as smart as you think you are, or trolling.
Let me guess, you saw the cartoon aesthetic and figured "IS A 'TOON! MAEK ME LAUF!", and when the characters didn't start by doing ridiculous and overblown actions or doing slapstick humor, then obviously it was boring! Did you think Michael Bay's Transformers were timeless masterpieces too? Or that Twilight was an incredible novel?
And I was being facetious, but, quoth the raven: "Nevermore".
I know this is your opinion or whatever, but I am officially not speaking to you.^=ash=^ said:I hated Toy Story 2, enough so that I didn't bother to see 3. So to me that is the worst film by Pixar.

I loved Up. Is my favourite Pixar film next to the Toy Story series (if I had to pick a favourite out of those it would probably be 3. One of the only films to make me cry) and Monsters Inc.
Least favourite...probably Cars or WALL-E. WALL-E pretty much discarded the plot to give us a robot in hilarious situations and Cars was too long. Neither of them were bad films, just were disappointing.
I don't dig. But that reminds me. Up has the character of Dug. Dug is awesome. Show Dug some respect and give his film some recognition. It was great. It handled issues that other kids films (most notably any made by Dreamworks) wouldn't dream (forgive the pun) of handling because they don't want to alienate the audience. So tell me, is that why you didn't like Up? What Pixar films DO you like?ExaltedK9 said:Ain't be trollin' dawg, just statin' my passive opinions, dig?V TheSystem V said:He be trollin'. What he said, Cars suck and the guy dissing up needs to have his dick cut of and shoved in his mouth. -MacGruber.MulticolorCharizard said:Probably Cars, it just fel to "kiddie film" for me.

I'm going to quote Yahtzee Croshaw here with an excerpt from his old website after he saw Wall-E.Flac00 said:Really? I'm with Cars, too. The appeal was just too limited.
No I was talking about Meet the Robinsons but I agree with you that Disney has gotten a lot worse at the turn of the century. I mean almost all of thier new live action movies are completely horrible. To be honest, the only really good films that were made exclusively by Disney in the 2000s were the Pirates of the Caribbean series and Tron Legacy. I only said Walt Disney because that is the name they put on most of their movie boxes.jack583 said:just to be sure that we are talking about the same film:Polarix said:Snip for length.
Meet the Robinsons was made by Walt Disney without the help of Pixar. I only know this after I searched for it on Wikipedia just now because I never saw the movie myself.jack583 said:was "meet the robisons" pixar or dreamworks?
because i hated how screwed up their veiws on time travle works.
but if that is dreamworks then i say "the incredibles".
i really only liked the first robot fight scene.
"meet the robisons": new animated film about a boy genius who gets to travel to the future by way of some random kid from the future (later turns out to be the smart kids future son) that goes back to fix an error he made in his time.
"swiss family robinson": old live action film about a family that gets stranded on an unmarked island and survives via making a house and gadgets that were so advanced given the materials avalable they must have been made by using blue prints writen by "the professor" from the sitcom "gilligans island".
i only ask because you said the film was made by walt disney--who is dead--and not the disney corporation. if you had said the latter i would not have responded, but since you said the first i just wanted to double check.
Yes, I'm having a meltdown because I'm using correct English. I'm guessing Ernest Hemingway wrote nothing but constant hissy fits then.ExaltedK9 said:You're having a meltdown because I said I thought a Pixar movie was boring, and I'm the immature one? Oh, and I'm not trolling, just expressing an opinion, which incidently sent you into a tailspin of anxiety.
Open to debate. But I know Up was a big budget production, as are most "main" Pixar enterprises. I wasn't implying that Pixar was low budget, was making it clear that I wasn't even including the "smaller" B-list movies in the comparison.ExaltedK9 said:And movies are not objective. How good they are is a matter of opinion. Mine being that up was boring as hell. But I'm glad that it sent you on a magical rollercoaster of emotions. Oh, and up was a high budget movie. (It is Pixar after all) And any animated 3D movie takes a small fortune to actually animate, along with thousands of man hours.
You never read The Raven [http://www.heise.de/ix/raven/Literature/Lore/TheRaven.html] then. Or, you know, pretty much anything written... what? More than a century ago?ExaltedK9 said:And is that a spelling error I see? What do ya' know, it looks like you're human as well. But regardless, I'm gonna ***** about it on a public forum because it offends me in ways you can't ever comprehend.... (I'm being facetious, by the way.)
Yes, I think I'm perfectly aware on why you didn't like it by now.ExaltedK9 said:And to answer your questions, in order:
No, I didn't dislike it because it was animated, or terribly devoid of car chases.
Yeah... Let's stop here. I think that says enough about you.ExaltedK9 said:Transformers was ok
