Played this for like a year when it first came out. lotta fun.

Remember soldiers, the heavy transport with the respawn tubes is your best friend. when you assault a base, make sure to have one hidden nearby to spawn out of. in a heavy assault, 2 or 3 is even better.

I tried to start this using compatibility mode for 98/me and 95 but it gave me the error "Unsupported OS". Anyone else getting this? Running it normally I get to the loading screen and just as it finishes loading it crashes.

Yeah I've been having a few gliches/crashes myself, but in my case it's most likely to my geforce-go graphics card. Second time after an inital loading freeze though it cleared up.

And you're running Vista?

Ok, what you're doing there is setting your compatability on the station launcher, not Planetside itself, I assume you're doing it from the start menu? Either way you need to go find your root planetside.exe in your program files to set the compatability, then launch it via the station launcher.

For people having trouble in vista (as i did)
Run the program in compatibility with windows 95 and disable the last three selections in that menu.

Oh my goodness, are all MMO's this unstable when new?

Fixed crash on startup
Fixed Crash on Terran Sanctuary spawn
#Edit: Still dropping textures and geometry.
Game is more stable with dlo set to off, but still suffers massive hickups.

Using XP sp3.
Steam has made me so lazy with new games.

Anyway, crashes aside am now operational and up to BR3, in posession of a Bolt driver.
