Didn't something like this happen before, only it was about WoW? How could a person losing his job be so funny.

When I read the title I thought that zombies attacked a prison and the guards were fighting them off with plants while the prisoners escaped...Boy was I wrong.

And that guard really needs to get his priority's straight.

Two things: It's not like they would really have to tiptoe out, they could have gone out with a five piece band, with kazoo accompanyment, and he would never have noticed. Bugger that game is addicting. Oh, and second--will there be a patch of the game to update if we want? Is there any news on that?

so... who thinks the game will get blamed for this incident?
*sadly raises hand*

Unfortunately, if Fox has anything to say about it, that's exactly what will happen.
They never have anything to say.

But they still manage to fill 24 hours of television with something. I'm not sure what you'd call it at this point.

Huh. I wonder if this would have made headlines if he'd been doing Sudoku or something. Well, it seems now that people are blaming video games less and video gamers more, no surprise there.

Still, that guy was truly incompetent. I'd hate to be him right now.

The idiot let his attention wander in a prison. That in itself should tell you he has no right to even BE a prison guard. This might be in a minimum security prison or something, but the article doesn't specify, so let's take for example a maximum security prison. Instead of the prisoners simply escaping, they could've just as easily slit his throat or strangled him. 5 prisoners, desperate and with the element of surprise, can kill very quickly and very quietly.

Is Plants vs Zombies really worth losing your life over? Ask yourself that question, and if you say yes, ask yourself again. If you still say yes, turn yourself into the nearest mental hospital/gaming addicts anonymous seminar.
