I could not help notice in the trailer, however, that the graphics seemed somewhat lacking than the first AC game. I'll chalk it up to video feed quality for now, but I still expect the same awesome I experienced in the first game.
Now see, I'm interested to see how they change things up in this one, and this is a good start. But for god's sake, please put a voice actor in who actually has a fitting accent. Altair's anomolous, gritty, American, action-hero voice was off-putting and made me significantly like him less as a character (you know, other than the fact that he was a dick to begin with).
It does sound like it would attach you to the character. However, I have the strange thought in my head that they will break those attachment moments by pausing and showing Desmond's story
I don't need any more reasons to be exited over this game... good thing this didn't give me one.
It probably will just be something I speed past so I can get to the stabbing.

On a more serious note, I'm not personally all that thrilled about backstory. If it is short, fine. If it is skippable, even better. If neither of them, then meh.
