tell me I'm not the only one who thinks that the new Assassins Creed has gone too far.. I mean, the games have always been easier to play as a slaughterhouse than as a genuine stealth game, but the first two at least gave you the ability to be covert.
Of all the trailers I've seen it seems they ahve thrown caution to the wind and taken the standard modern gaming route of 'butcher everything before you in the most fantastic fashion', I mean seriously - fighting a siege with no armour against a colossal enemy force, manning rapid fire cannons anf throwing battleaxes? the E3 campaign preview to me looked more like a cross between Medieval Total War and Battlefield Bad Company than a game which deserves the word 'Assassin' in the tital.
And as for the trailer with the bunch of assassins all ganging up on the pope? looked like a trailer for Reach (or any other game with a 'close knit squad of battle hardened verterans each with their own style of fighting')
the game has lost any veneer of individuality it once had in order to sell more copies
Anyone agree with me?
