Well, you know what they say, if you can't beat em join em I can't bring myself to leave this place for too long, so when they asked for help I couldn't help but say yes, lol. I will strive to do you all proud!

I have a feeling I know what this is about, and I will say that of my own admission I will not be modding gamergate stuff in GID. I want things to be fair too, and right now I feel the best way to keep the peace there is for me to abstain from that area. I did not accept this to change the balance there.

You'll have to forgive me for my degree of caution, but, it's a bit worrying to see a new announced member of the moderator team already recusing themselves from an entire section of the forums due to their personal biases.

I've never seen moderating as a lone ranger sort of thing to do, and so I plan on making sure I don't go too far without parsing myself. That's why we're a team

So long as nobody is breaking the rules, making things too personal, or going off topic in a way which is bad for the thread they're fine. Of course I'll also be scaling back my participation in them, lol.

Well, unfortunately, given The Escapist's style of moderation is a bit "Cloak and Dagger", we can only take your word for it. As we have no way of knowing if you'll actually do this.

Given your predecessor made similar claims, and after what happened with him, I'm a bit concerned.

Either way, as for another question. How do you feel about passive aggressive insults like comparing people to ridicules things such as "80 year olds who blame Obama for everything" during debates in R&P?

Passive aggressive and derailing attitudes like this are something people in R&P and other forums have been complaining about for a while, do you have any intention to resolve these issues as most of these insults tend to fall under "Moderator's choice".
