You're all gonna flame/troll me for this, but I'll say it anyway.

I have a small problem with beating Diamond and Pearl's Elite Four. Using the strongest team I can possibly get without monotyping, I can get to the Champion but her team completely smashes anything I throw at it. And I have no way to train to get my team to level 50 average. If I get to 50 average I should win, hypothetically.

My team is this:
Staraptor lvl 38 - Anti-Bug (Aerial Ace)
Torterra lvl 38 - Anti-Ground (3 Grass techs)
Luxray lvl 38 - Anti-Bug & Psychic (knows Crunch)
Gyarados lvl 38 - Anti-Fire (Surf)
Azelf lvl 50 - Anti-Psychic (knows Payback)
Palkia lvl 47 - Anti-Psychic (knows Shadow Claw) and takes out the strongest with Spacial Rend

Is there any way to find someone else to beat? Maybe I should swap out Gyarados for a Fighting-type...

Please help, kthnx

Having only played the games up until Gold/Silver, I think a Ghost type would be able to take the Azelf and Palkia, which I know nothing about. I doubt this will help, but good luck.

First off, you should of gotten the penguin starter... get it to level 60 with drill peck and hydro pump and u will beat the first four gym leaders without losing hp, then just have 2 other lvl 5o pokemon...i did it on my first try...to easy

Maybe try leveling up? That usually works pretty well. Level up ALL of your pokemon about 10 or so levels... then try.

Ugh.. Diamond and Pearl ruined the franchise for me. Just look at the names.
Some of those names are at least a bit acceptable.. well, they don't make me want to cut my eyes out compared to: Stunky [http://www.psypokes.com/dex/psydex/434/general], Hippopotas [http://www.psypokes.com/dex/psydex/449/general], Finneon [http://www.psypokes.com/dex/psydex/456/general].

There's one slight problem with your advice, guys.
I have NO WAY WHATSOEVER to train my team. I've killed everything in my path and they're still level 38. If you can find a way to beat the E4 and Champion with level 38 Pokémon, you're a genius.

You can just train at trainers :p
Or at wild pokemon in the grass, however I really dont understand how you can be so low level.. All my pokemon were 40-50ish when I reached elite 4

I don't have that D/P, but after reading a walkthrough, the fact that victory road is filled with level 44+ pokemon should have been a warning that your pokemon's levels were too low.
The victory road is also a good place to level a bit, the pokemon there should give enough experience to level to 45 average without taking too long. There's also a VS seeker, allowing you to challenge trainers you've defeated again, some of them should have higher level pokemon.(if it works like FireRed, 100 steps charge the item and there's a chance trainers reject the challenge so use it near groups of trainers)

If you are that stuck, buy as many items as your money allows, then go in and try and kill as many pokemon without using any items as you can, when you lose, you lose screw all money and hopefully you killed at least 1 pokemon getting there, gaining you EXP.
And you should be able to beat them even if you are 10 levels below them. Unless you have it so you don't have the ridiculous advantage you do by default. And even then you can spam items.

Maybe he was rushing it and was running away from every wild Pokemon.

First off, I'm not cheap, so I'm not gonna get a lvl 100 Mewtwo. If you seriously need one then you're more of a noob than me.
Secondly, I win every fight I can through type advantage, so I beat every trainer even though I have weaker guys on my team. I beat the last gym using lvl 35's.
Thirdly, I cannot stand using the Vs Seeker, it's too much hassle going everywhere again. I much preferred Emerald's PokéNav. Much more efficient.

I may as well do the rounds with the Vs Seeker. It'll take another week or three, but it might help.

Hate to say it...you're going to have to bite the bullet and train them up. It'll require patience. Dropping the legendaries for ACTUAL pokemon will help as well.

38 is too low of an average level to win. For every league match I've ever played my pokemon would be lvl55+ until the last series when it was easy to win with level 45s.

As I see it you've got 3 choices
1. Butt your face into the e4 until you get your guys leveled up enough that way. Boring but it works
2. Grind levels via the vs seeker or wild pokemon. Also boring. Also works
3 Just say to hell with it and rebuild your team. I'd go with this, simply because it dones't take too much longer yet gives you the chance to ev train your team.

If you go for #3 let me know and I'll give you the crash course on ev training.

can't say to much though with out knowing what pokemon of her's are giving you trouble, but you could drop Gyarados for something else if you give Palkia surf.

I'm guessing that you have been using other Pokémon, then dropped them half way through? Am I right?

Also, why don't you just spam items, or spam items that up you poké's stat, like Zinc and others, that's how I would do it.
