Damn, that's some sad news. Thank you for brightening up my childhood mornings with your great work Takeshi Shudo.

I too grew up watching Pokémon before school does anyone remember the episode where they met charmander and he almost died or the first or second episode where pikachu risked his life to save Ash after all the initial resisting Ash's commands.

The episode where Ash gets caught in a snowstorm with bulbasaur charmander and pikachu. I could go on listing amazing episodes but I'll stop, we can safely say that Pokémon was gone when Takeshi Shudo left it and now it's dead along with him. He created the "very best" anime and franchise "there ever was" and ever will be...

RIP Takeshi Shudo.

We shall never forget.

v_v Poor guy... Though, he brought quite a bit of joy to children around the globe, with the best episodes of the show. While he will be missed, his life was at least fulfilled enough for us to feel bad about his passing.

Rest in piece. You made the pokemon series so memorable especially the third movie.
Plus, if it weren't pokemon I would never have gotten into anime.
I salute you.

This has probably been done already, and better, but still...
He really was the very best
Like no-one ever was

To write them was his real test
To make them was his cause

He had us travel across the land
Searching far and wide

Made each pokemon, to understand
The power that's inside

Pokemon!
Gotta write 'em all!

It's him and us
It was his destiny

Pokemon!

Ooooh, he was my best friend
In a world he wrote to make

Pokemon!
Gotta write 'em all!

His heart was so true
Our courage will pull us through

He taught me and I'll teach you

Pokemon!
Gotta write 'em all!
Gotta write 'em all!
Pokemon!

The best show of my youth, damn this sucks.
Shudo brought joy and happiness into so many people's lives.
May his creation live on for many years.

I pray his Ash-es will be placed in a red-and-white spherical urn. *brick'd* I have very, very fond memories of the anime series. The first three movies were fantastic, I don't care what anyone says. And 2000 was the best of them. Kick-ass soundtrack to go along with it.

So now we won't have to deal with team rocket failing EVERYTIME, god there is no writing to the story really. The manga has a better plot, (hell even the gym badges was a plot device).

This is really a shame. ご冥福をお祈りします。

I can't say I'm still as avid a Pokemon fan as I was when I was 7, but back then the series was golden; I can't recall any eastern cartoon/anime that stuck with me for so long.

There goes the Golden Age of Pokémon. This calls for another memorial avatar, a la my previous Dio memorial. I'll be back momentarily.
