Hey Escapsists easy question just for my curiosity but what time format do you prefer?

Whenever possible I ALWAYS use 24hr time, for some reason I just like it better.

24 hour. Makes me feel like a badass when I say I'll see you at 0700. Like I'm going on a mission or some shit.

Twelve Hour. I grew up with it, and thus find it faster to identify.

I'm used to 12h and it often gets confusing. I wish I had grown up with the 24h model.

Eh, my watches are on 12hr, so is my phone, but my PC is set to 24hr...
I have no real preference, really. Doesn't matter to me if it is 12hr or 24hr, both tell the time.

Whilst i recognize both formats (24hr also referred to as Military or Zulu Time) i've not fully gotten used to reading and vocalizing the 24 clock format.

I usually go with 12-hour, mainly because on those occasions when I haven't had enough sleep (weekdays) my poor little brain gets confused and I sometimes think 17:00 means 7pm instead of 5pm.

That and I have trouble saying it's "half past twenty-three" and keeping a straight face.

Grew up with 12 hour, but since I would like to join the military, I've been getting myself accustomed to 24 hour for the past 3 or 4 years.

When I was younger 12 hour was my preferred format, being older my PC is in 24 so I've just gotten used to it. So both I suppose.

I can use either, but I prefer 12h, mainly just because I've grown up with it. I'd like to switch to 24h ideally, but everyone around me still uses 12h.

Sorry Snooty, 24 hour time display isn't Zulu time, Greenwich mean time on the other hand is. For example as a Brisbane local I use GMT +10 hours.

Zulu timing (GMT, or i guess you could say +0) is commonly used by various military forces as it gives them a common time without worrying about timezone changes while traveling.

Oh, and I use 24 most of the time.

I grew up with the 24 hour format and I use it everywhere but verbally I use the 12 hour one.

A Hermit's Cave
Depends on context, mostly 12hr, though, especially when in conversation.

Grew up that way, and it ain't broke, so I ain't fixing it...

I grew up with 12 hour, so that's what I use. The only problem I run in to is when people say 12:00am/pm. Ok, I get it, but other people tend to get it reversed when they're talking. some people will say 12pm and think that means midnight when it means noon, so I tend to refer to 12am as Midnight and 12pm as Noon.

I can read 24h and use it on things like my phone and DS but I use the 12h clock when talking with most people. It's easier that way.
